So, what happens to the Chick-Fil-A / Peach bowl now?

when it isn't hosting a playoff game? I didn't see anything about it in the new ACC bowl contract articles; thought it was our second bowl:

The teams for the remaining playoff bowls will be selected by the selection committee. ACC will get preference for the bowl because of region but only if they are selected as one of the best teams.

I know the Russell Ath. is not the same as the Chick-fil-a bowl, but i do like the new line up. Getting access to the Gator and Cap One (even if on a limited basis is good for the conference). Also playing schools from the big 5 conference makes the line-up much more interesting. The bowl pools should also keep the travel and match-ups reasonable. The only question now is how does the ACC stack up with the other conferences in terms of payouts.

The Peach Fil-A Bowl will host one of the National semi-final games four times over the next twelve years (once every three years) starting i n2016. In the other eight years, the Bowl will host two nationally ranked opponents (non-playoff match-ups) from around the country determined by a national selection committee.

the Peach is no longer tied ot any conference.

Although I am hopeful the Selection Committee will continue to look closely at an ACC/$EC match-up.

Essentially its a BCS bowl. Top teams that don't make the playoff will be selected to play in it
