Why don’t I feel like we will definitely win? I know it is a conference road game but when can we start expecting to win these kinds of games? Am I the only one that feels this way? I do think Chase Hunter will not let us lose this game and Zachery should play great defense. Go Tigers.

We have lost to them at Blacksburg the last 3 out of 4 times. It is a tough place to play. This game and Raleigh are places we need to take care of business both for conf record and for NCAA purposes but neither is likely to be easy.

I have to smile thinking how the LF was mad because we did not hire Young from Wofford. I believe he has made one dance and lost in the first round. Not a bad coach as he has win 55% of his games but not a step up from CBB. Many of his wins have been at home as their pit of an arena is a tough place to play or win for any visiting team.

Not alone. It's exactly the kind of game where we seem to throw up on ourselves once or twice a season. We already lost to SCAR.

because it's impossible to win on the road. That's just basketball.***

By the same token, even in our down years or in past years when the ACC was truly a super conference with 7-9 teams I always felt like we had a chance against even the best teams at home. Just something about basketball that upsets happen on the road, especially if you had an intimidating environment which we used to have.

Guess what though? Every team will lose at least one of these every season. It is a long season and they happen.

Well, would it be surprising if we lost? No.
Should we win? Yes.
Brownell or not, it would be the same for any other basketball coach on game day.
Basketball can be a fickle game - just is. I've been to junior college games where the home team would be down 25 points and storm back to win in the closing moments.
Very much a streaky game which is great in some ways because you could witness a crazy comeback but of course for those that don't really watch or know ball you have crazies going off anytime the team runs into a cold streak as if it is the coaches fault....when it literally happens to every team across America no matter how great the coach is.
It's been a good January for Clemson MBB so I'm going to lean with we take care of business today.
