So, the mullet Cameron Smith jumping to LIV

Aug 28, 2022, 9:19 AM

Maybe the PGA will now adapt and let people play in both leagues? Who knows what will happen?

Will be interesting to watch, mostly for the golf snob reactions.

Professional golf getting to be a lot like College Football.***

Sucks, but easier to find a other golfer on the PGA you like if you’re against LIV. Easier to drop an individual than a team/university like the recent college sellouts.

Not surprised by any of the new "all about the money" mentality of athletes. Loyalty, pride, and creating a legacy are things of the past.

I've given up NASCAR and the NFL due to wokeness. I'm sure college football will be next. What fun will it be to have the same 2-3 teams win every year? What does Clemson have for NIL support? We have no oil money, tech money, or Walmart money. I noticed the Little League World Series has girls on the teams. Why not just have girls teams? Are guys welcome on girl's softball teams? Maybe. I don't know.

The Left found a way to destroy our sports and never fired a single shot!

Lulz. Anything else you want to blame

on the mythical Left? That cheeseburger disagree with you? Libtards!!!! Rain out your round of golf? Dang wokies!!! Mama’s cake fall? Brandon did it!!!

I’d like to go back to the concept of grown up, god fearin’ men and women taking responsibility for what they do and not blaming somebody else.

I don't think I had anything to do with it, so I refuse ta accept any blame. I quit supporting the NFL when they couldn't kneel for the flag. I quit supporting NASCAR when "Noosegate" got the attention of a dozen FBI agents when every other garage door had the same knot.

The Progressives said they wanted to ban football and team sports as they contributed to "toxic masculinity". I'm saying they have found ways to do it.

It’s not the outside worlds’ responsibility to not offend you.

Now that a high percentage of the better golfers are moving to LIV I noticed that the PGA is willing to make the money pot larger for the fellows who have not jumped. If the PGA had been willing to share more money this would not have happened. I could care less if the PGA goes under.

You’re talking about a job. That’s all it is…a job.

If you can make more money, by working less often, with less pressure, by moving to a different job, would you? I think there’s a lot of people who would, especially if they feel their current employer isn’t on their side.

They wouldn’t have this job of theirs if not for fans. They’d be normal folks playing for their club championship. Watering down the product can’t be good for the long term. But hey, some guys paid a lot. Shotgun starts, three rounds, some form of team play - really sounds exciting.

They still have plenty of fans, so what’s your point?

Can you not be a fan of someone who doesn’t play in the PGA? Is that not allowed?

It took you this long to give up on nascar? I stopped watching when Rockingham was canceled. It won't be.long now before they take the fenders off so there is no rubbin

As for golf I play once a week and looking to double that soon. I watch the Masters but the others if it fits my schedule.

Yep. I love PGA golf. But I'm not all in on Irish twerp Rory McIlroy (who has not won a major in 8 years since he was 25) acting like the PGA alpha dog. Especially when professional bettor and sometimes golfer Phil Mickelson (who won a major at 50-51) brought up the issues Rory is now raising and the PGA is implementing years ago and was not supported by other golfers.

As for the mullet, I understand he was paid $100 million to make the jump. Why would there be any question? That's more money than he's earned to date and may ever earn. He'd be crazy not to take it. And I don't buy the LIV traitor angle that the PGA is playing. The Saudi royal family had nothing to do with 9/11. The crown prince, possibly the richest man in the world along with Abu Dhabi's leader, took/stole billions from the Bin Laden construction family (50 brothers & sisters and dozens of wives). That money alone can fund the LIV tour. As for Al-Khashoggi, he was a lifetime friend and associate of Osama Bin Laden. Draw your own conclusions.
