So if TE gets a HC job this off season...

who would you like to see Dabo go get?
Should he follow the Saban coach-rehab program? Bring back RichRod or the Chad?
Mike Norvell or Justin Fuente could end up being available depending on how things go.
Would he pull up a relatively unknown, unproven guy like Chad Morris?
Or, would you expect him to promote from within, maybe Brandon Streeter?

TE is not getting a HC job unless it is at some 1A HS coaching the Jr. varsity.

Who runs a wide open, exciting, stretch the field scheme. And go get Wisconsin's oline coach.

Most likely Brandon Streeter. Mike Norvell lit it up at Memphis but I'm not sure I'll forgive him dodging last years beatdown in Tallahassee.
I feel like an O line coach would make the biggest difference and I would like to see them pry Bill Bedenbaugh out of Oklahoma

If Elliott stays, can we find him a passing game coordinator from the NFL like they found for Ensminger at LSU? That worked out pretty well for Coach O while it lasted.

You think TE is going to get offered a HC position?

I doubt he's going to get a PWR 5 offer. The book is out. Since Jeff Scott left the offense has regressed. He'll be back for next year for sure though. But, since you're asking my choice would be Jeff Scott.

Get real...it’s not since Jeff Scott left. It’s since Deshaun, Trevor and Travis left. Jeff Scott is tearing it up at USF. Yeah, right.
This situation will only get better with better o-line play and kick-aZZ running back.

I would hope that we will go get someone proven.

Most any offensive coordinator would jump at the chance to come to Clemson, especially if they are given free reign to run the offense without interference.
I feel strongly that promoting from within would be a horrible idea. We need new ideas and a fresh perspective.
And we have way too much talent and prestige at this point to take a flyer on someone who isn’t proven. We pay top dollar, have the best facilities in college football, and have top talent. Go get a proven expert.
I don’t know what kind of job Elliott can get, but even with a subpar year this year he still has an excellent resume. If Dabo decides to go in a new direction, Tony will have to just take the best job he can get even if it’s not a power 5 head coaching gig.
If Tony is back next year, and our offense doesn’t improve by leaps and bounds these next 8 games, fan morale is gonna be extremely low next year.

Dado won’t fire TE. However I could see him “promoting” him to Assistant Head Coach and bringing in an OC.

You know, I would not be surprised if USC have TE on the list. Even offensive woes aside he is one of the few with a Cali connection. I see USC tossing "known names" outthere (I dont see Franklin leaving PedState) and all other coaches like Fleck/Fickell are very much regionally dependent - midwest. I think the real question is whether or not a lot of folks want to take on the USC job...

USC are idiots if they have not at least reached out to Dave Clawson. Why the "Haves" dont snap this guy right up boggles my brain. This dude does more with less than any coach I have ever seen.

Small schoolisms
His knock is whether or not he could "succeed" with big talent.
Case in point, Tom O'Brien.
There are a lot of coaches that can make ho-hum, not bowling schools 8+ win schools. They do very well with mid-range talent. Sometimes the transition well, sometimes they don't. His one (really 3 games) done at UT might be the worry. That hurt.

It would be Streeter if most of us were going by past history. That doesn't mean that by seasons end it will be the same way. So, that said, ME personally, I would back up the truck for Kendall Briles. That kids offenses have lit it up everywhere he's been (Don't hold FSU against him). Ok, don't like his history? Fine. Garrett Riley then. Hes coaching at SMU and would be a lot cheaper to come by and would also likely be in place a season or two longer. I believe both coaches are the young, energetic and innovative types we need to help stress defenses and take advantages of mismatched defenses. A little Chaos for the other team rather than line up and be vanilla and basic. Or should we say, "Archaic"?

CHRIS PETERSEN… a long shot

The former Boise State coach who then spent a little time at Washington is dying to get back into coaching. All you have to do is Google “Boise St. versus Oklahoma” and see some creative football. Problem is that he is probably not gonna accept a OC job; he would really take advantage of the talent at Clemson and be as aggressive as Venables.
