So I just counted the number of times Streeter called those

stupid runs up the A-gap on 1st down that went for no yardage. It makes me sick to my stomach.
Dabo needs to fire this glorified high school coach and get a professional on board.
Forget about playoffs until this changes. You either upgrade and change with the times or die. If we as a fanbase want some positive changes, we need to be vocal and push Dabo to do what needs to be done.
I thought I'd calm down a little after the chitshow we witnessed yesterday, but after watching the game and analyzing what went wrong, it actually got me even more pissed off. There is no reason we shouldn't have run roughshod over the coots. None, other than #### poor coaching and a stubborn refusal to bench DJ and get Cade or Hunter in the game.

Calling plays with DJ's fragile confidence and soul crushing

unforced errors has to be THE hardest job in college football.
I thought we put too much decision making on DJ in the first quarter because we tried to throw on first down too often. You could tell right off the bat that DJ was in la la land mentally.

The problem I have with DJ is that if his primary receiving target isn't open, he freezes up....he can't process the checkdowns quickly enough...he freezes up in the pocket and he stands there like a concrete deer. He can't even look off his primary receiver...he has a tendency to stare down his primary target which is a huge advantage for a defense.

Unfortunately, he's bad at everything required of a QB. The result is just a complete lack of offensive efficiency.
Someone posted the video of the offensive plays from the Miami game in 2014? recently. We weren't world beaters at the skill positions at that point. We weren't throwing the ball all over the field. DeShaun was able to be a threat in the RPO game and get the 4-6 yards available consistently, which opened things up for the running back. He was able to complete short passes and the offense was not flashy, efficient.
We had the talent this year to do the same, but we didn't have a QB that could perform the routine plays efficiently. I know it's human nature to hope for a simple solution to a potentially complex problem, but the QB raises or lowers the confidence of the team and I really believe that a capable QB is the difference between where we are now and being a playoff team this year.

We had 17 first downs and we run that play every 1st down so I would say between 17-20 times yesterday.

I would prefer that every Clemson fan who cares about the program to watch for themselves........and then consider that this is the product of what Dabo calls "Best is the standard".
We earned 17 first downs and started the second half with one. Watch for yourselves and prepare to be pissed off.

No, he doesn't create any separation BUT we should be generous here, because he's still recovering from an ACL injury. So hopefully he can regain some explosiveness this off season. I still think he can be a weapon next year.

I heard Hood say we had 13 possessions and on those 13 we ran 12 times on 1st down. 9 times up the middle. We had 25 1st downs and ran the ball 17 times.

DJ is a nice guy I'm sure but if you are serious about winning or competing for National Championships forget about it and it doesn't matter who's around him the game is too fast for him.
