at the Olympics is a female with something like Swyer syndrome (a female who is born with an XY in the mix and yet still has female parts)?
Is that what it comes down to? Because seeing the video of that beating, and the Italian boxer's dejection after abandoning the fight after 46 seconds, was tough to take.
Would someone who understands genetics/gender, please weigh-in (no pun)?

Perhaps the best solution is to simply have genetic categories for all competitions, xx and xy regardless of genitalia or dysphoria

What did the Lady boxer from Italy expect. Slap the hands for 10 rounds. If one climbs into the ring then look out.

It's one thing to open the door to transgender competitors in sports like swimming (William/Lia Thomas), or track and field (Craig/CeCe Telfer) -- sports where the competitors are NOT engaged in physical combat.
But boxing? C'mon. My question to the IOC is does someone actually have to get killed? Is that what has to happen before reasonable people come forward, show some moral rectitude, and offer some actual leadership???

Right - not transgender.

That's my error.
I meant to frame it around the issue of biological males competing in women's sports -- and while it's true that Khelif is not transgender, it seems equally true that Khelif exhibits male-dominant characteristics that, at least for 46 seconds yesterday in Paris, gave her a distinct -- and possibly dangerous -- competitive advantage over another woman that does not have male-dominant characteristics.
I intensely dislike the word "retarded" so I won't quip with you on that front. But yes, I do at times exhibit quite a bit of ignorance.
Thanks for pointing it out for me.

Already banned multiple times for elevated testosterone then found out was XY chromosomes but has underdeveloped male parts. Such a weird twist but in biological science, she is a he but with malformed genitalia. He has testicles underdeveloped potentially not dropped. My aunt had a dog like that and she was charged for a nueter, just saying.

One of the saddest deals I have witnessed at the Olympics. The committee should have been ashamed. Plain out stupidity and BS. Kudos to the lady for showing up and giving it a try but everyone knew what was coming. Crazy times when they can attempt to justify that this is ok.

Any sources for any of that? I've read banned once by a Russian run org that's no longer considered legitimate by the Olympic committee because of their shady dealings, which is also where the xy chromosome claim came from. That org has also refused to detail what testing led them to disqualify her as far as I can find.
Also, she's lost like 9 times before so she's obviously not going from town to town pummeling her competition to a bloody pulp like some seem to think. The woman who beat her in Tokyo essentially said the same about her record, they were just born different but it's not their fault.

Here is one of the times, UK story.
Why was Khelif disqualified? Algeria's Imane Khelif was disqualified hours before her gold-medal bout at the women's World Championships in New Delhi last year after she failed to meet the International Boxing Association's (IBA) eligibility criteria, which prevent athletes with male XY chromosomes competing in women's events.2 hours ago

The IBA is so corrupt they make FIFA look like they operate on the up and up. They also never released the actual test results, just said Imane and another boxer failed to meet requirements.

And got zero media attention. Also the Italian boxer has been KOed 23 times in her career, so she leaned into the drama as well.
Pretty embarrassing 24 hours for the media yesterday, spreading that she was trans just to stir up outrage points.

getting in the way of their agenda.
The person was raised as a girl from birth. No decision was made. Kid was born in this way and has competed her entire career as a girl.
I don't GAF either way. I also don't think this person should have been allowed to compete against females, but it's been going on for quite some time and she's lost a number of boxing matches.
It's a weird situation for sure, but just stop pushing your tranny/choice narrative. It's just plain false.

The point is that he doesn’t pass the genetic and biological test. The eye test just confirms that. To every person honest with themselves.

So you think Algeria, a country that effectively criminalizes transgender people by their very existence, has sent a state sponsored transgender person to represent them at the Olympics?

Yes! XY chromosomes are XY and the body produces more testosterone due to gonads even if they are intersex.

There is literally no actual evidence of this. You're basing all of this on social media speculation after a shady organization "conducted" an ill-defined test with no transparency and no publication of results. You've bought into wild speculation because it suits your agenda. Some of us prefer actual evidence.

As a female, i want to see sports divided into an open category and a protected category. The protected category would only be for individuals that do not have a Y chromosome and have never taken hormones to produce male characteristics. A protected individual can compete in the open category if desired.

here. Even the same Italian Boxer who lost the fight said she has no problem with allowing the fighter to compete
https://apnews.com/article/angela-carini-imane-khelif-boxing-63e9dbaa30f1e29196d4162c72c2babf
The IBA is trash run by the Kremlin Khelif was disqualified right after she beat a Russian boxer in the world championship and it’s apparently the only time she’s been disqualified. I haven’t seen any reports about extra chromosomes or medical conditions; as far as I’ve seen she just looks manly. Lots of elite female athletes are not what I would describe as dainty.
Again people born as men should not be able to compete against women, but let’s figure our what’s really going on before we use these people as political fodder.

The internet it the greatest tool in human history for disseminating misinformation. I don’t believe anything before I know the source.
And if you’re gonna quote that UK article their info is false. The IBA never mentioned chromosomes they claimed elevated testosterone and only after a Russian boxer lost and without any evidence.
Also, this fighter hasn’t been banned “multiple times” as you stated in one of your posts; just once.

I think we can all agree that this is a difficult one to hash out and will certainly draw a lot of scrutiny.
It also means that every bout she has from now until she's knocked out (no pun) or wins Gold will be must-see and thus great for NBC's already skyrocketing Olympics coverage ratings.
