With that many offers and who they are from how is he only rated a 3star? Looks like a definite move up for him in the future!

Good get but Caldwell has too many misses. Step it up or retire. We need a young aggressive recruiter here. Caldwell will be 70 in a few years.

Caldwell is not an excellent recruiter. This coming year we will be fine. It’s the next few years I think about. Our failure to recruit sufficient offensive linemen could come back to bite us. We expect Alabama standards. Playoffs or failure! Whoever is recruiting offensive linemen need to step it up big time and sign plug and play linemen.

Who all have we missed on? Hyatt, Simpson, Pollard, Carman, all those guys love Coach Caldwell. We're not gonna get em all, I'm sure you understand that, being the big Clemson fan you are

Hyatt was a partial legacy commit, Carman was completely recruited by Dabo, Pollard was a good top 300 player from NC but a small offer list, and John Simpson was a great in-state commit. Those aren't reflections of Caldwell.
If our season didn't end with an awful OL performance, we would be reacting differently to OL recruiting.

A great get, but certainly not an example of Caldwell's recruiting prowess. If anything it kind of shows that our other coaches can recruit OL.

No, Capehart's lead recruiter was Todd Bates. Also, kids and their families choose Clemson because of the genuine and unique culture Dabo has set up, not just because of a position coach (who are quick to be promoted if they're good).
That being said, if Caldwell had success putting OLinemen in the NFL (which I project we'll see these upcoming years), it would be much easier to recruit.

Because our head coach is Dabo Swinney. Rayburn's family loves him. Rayburn hasn't even mentioned Caldwell in interviews.
