I do enjoy good QB play but what I enjoy more is the quantity and quality of the plays.
I'm sure we have a boatload of plays, at least I hope so, but we seem to repeat the same 7-10. How many times do we need to see Cade run the ball? He's too slow running and too so processing the game. Seems like he is better suited for an up tempo game but we seem to wait until 5-7 seconds are left on the clock.
I see teams run a jet sweep and hear the announcers say "bag of tricks." Why is that "a bag of tricks...why isn't it a part of their "regular" play calling? Teams run up the middle again and again, deep passes, slants etc. multiple times.
I get tired of hearing coaches saying they are adding plays as the season progresses...why so. Football is a 12 month sport and players should be able to digest ALL the plays when the season begins. There is no excuse for Clemson not to have mastered every play in their book. We have so many returning players who have been there for years and should know ALL the plays. Maybe the plays are too difficult ...to complicated...don't know.
