He seems to resonate and connect with the players. So what is different with him and coach Austin because Austin seemed to hardly make a splash with recruiting. Maybe I'm misremembering but Austin coached OL a few years before Clemson, and had some NFL experience as I recall then he understudied an experienced coach in Robbie Caldwell for a few years. I liked Austin but it just didnt work and it seemed like it should have.

Well maybe Austin didn't have the charisma that Luke has.

Yeah he coached at ga state. Along with everything you all said, he was young in comparison but I'd mostly attribute it to being proven. Track record of getting guys to the next level.

Guys are not on campus yet, pull the reigns back, he whiffed on all of his targets last year. It looks great on paper right now, let’s hope we can lock up a few going forward.I agree %1000 a major upgrade from what Austin brought to the table.

When I see the list of the new "one year contracts" signed and delivered, I will make a decision on how successful he is doing. Sitting next to a pretty girl in class is a long way from dating her...

Dabo’s nil policy hurt his recruiting last year same as it hurt Austin’s recruiting. Hope the policy has been updated the same as he updated the portal policy

showing him on recruiting visits sure does give me optimism that he will be successful.
I’m sure Austin went on plenty of visits too, but it didn’t seem like it since those photos weren’t prominently displayed on TNet.

Luke whiffed on a lot big recruits last year and we had to get our 2nd and 3rd choices…I havnt seen him do anything great so far on the recruiting trail.

Being that Matt Luke didn't start his job at Clemson until the end of the 2023 season means that we can't hold him for any of the recruiting, plus he only coached in one game for us, and that was our bowl game against Kentucky, then fall camp starting the 2024 season...

He made every player on our OL better in one year. With that data point and his previous experience of putting guys in the league, recruits have taken notice.
