I’ve watched them several times this year and we will have our hands full. They are a very fast team. Put pressure on you both offensive and defensive. It will be an interesting game to see if we can negate their speed with power.

They effectively ended Pitt’s season. Pitt was 7-0 at the time they played. Big plays early. Broken tackles and combat catches. They will be a handful.

The last time SMU was a factor they received The Death Penalty as a result of cheating. That oil money can buy a lot of stuff/players/parents/houses/cars, etc. I just wonder how long this new open pocketbook/checkbook strategy will last. Sadly, I see good, old fashioned college football, and the other sports, will last before implosion. I'm saddened to see the last of amateur sports. When players get paid, its professional sports. I think I'm going to save a lot of money in the future. I cannot, in clear conscience, support the sec, ugay, et. al. method of college athletics.

Hate to break it to you, but players have been getting paid for years. Now it's just above board. Does anyone remember why Clemson was put on probation under Danny Ford.

A $500 payment to a player in Tenn that was backing out of his pledge because Tenn offered him more money got Danny. Things have changed a lot. Now it is legal to pay 10.5 million to get a QB to flip his commitment. Clemson got in trouble for paying a players dental bill because he could not afford it. Clemson paid for a coat for a player for the winter because he did not have one. For that we got two years of probation with the great ACC adding another year because Danny was dominating them.

It was way more than that. We had 180 volations most involving Hershcal. We were in a bidding war with UGA. His girlfriend was already enrolled at Clemson. A Ford dealer in Georgia finally got him for UGA. We were all upset UGA won the bidding war and because Vince Dooley was chairman of infractions committee they walked free

The lurking Coots aren't gonna like this, but SMU will be the best team top to bottom we play all season. Very well coached and they don't turn the ball over. Smart QB, 1000 yard receiver, and a 1000 yard back. Clemson does have the advantage of it basically being a home game.

They are a running team through and through. Much like Auburn under Nick Marshall.
If we limit their rushing attack we win. Which is still a massive undertaking.

They do spread it around pretty well. They have 8 guys with at least 250 yards. We aren’t that far behind. We have 5 and Turner is close at 230 yards. Our top 4 guys are more productive than theirs.

Ah, I glanced at it wrong and looked at rushing twice. Regardless this team is still 21st in total Offense and 28th in total Defense. I still think they're the most complete team top to bottom we've faced all year.
