Since there is no accountability

in gubmint (except for Trump) #### like this happens:

A new Government Accountability Office (GAO) report reveals that federal agencies have reported about $2.7 trillion in "total improper payments" since the fiscal year 2003 and $236 billion in fiscal year 2023 alone but that “government-wide estimate potentially does not represent the full extent of improper payments.”

The reason the fiscal year 2023 total doesn't tell the full story of improper payments government-wide is because some agencies did not report the totals from select federal programs "susceptible to significant improper payments," the GAO explained in their report, released publicly on Tuesday.

These programs that went unreported to the government watchdog include the Department of Health and Human Services' Temporary Assistance for Needy Families as well as the Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Public and Indian Housing's Tenant Based Rental Assistance program and the Office of Multifamily Housing's Project-Based Rental Assistance program.

That's right, boys and girls, over a quarter trillion dollars got paid to "oh, we don't know who" last year alone by a gubmint so unaccountable they know nothing bad will happen. In fact, you didn't even hear about it.

Both parties have done this, because the grift of big gubmint is too hard for the individual members of congress and those in position to win playing the game to resist.

Twenty years ago I posted in here the way to fix it, in the form of a tongue in cheek presidential platform - cut the budget 20% each year for four years and devolve everything but the bare bones actually required for the fed to do as laid out in the Constitution to the states.

If we don't cut the fed gubmint down to size it will (pretty much already has) destroy us.

But hey, the final four is this weekend, so it's all good, man.

What do you mean except for Trump, he's skirted the law his entire career. He's effectively above the law, not sure ### you are on about. Anyone else would be in prison for years by now.

Shut your lying ##### mouth. We all know any attempts to cut spending,or even slow its growth, is rooted in white nationalism and is notjjng but a racist whistle for people who hate this country. Why don't you start worrying about things that matter, like incorrect pronoun usage, instead.

And we found over $3 billion laying around (so far) that our state government can't figure out where it came from or where/how it was to be spent.

holding the fed gubmint accountable, my vote is one in 150 million.

For SC, it's one of 2.5 million.

So about 60x more impact.

Pretty sure it came from the taxpayers.***
