Shuey has not been signed to a free agent contract by Jacksonville as it has been reported. He is set to workout for the Giants on Wednesday and then for the Jaguars on Thursday.

I am amazed that he wasn't drafted muchless not even signed yet. That kid has tons of work ethic, grit and "hit the crap out of you"....

hit-somebody attitude that all great LBs have.

I thought someone would scoop him up in the 6th or 7th round and end up with a 10-year veteran steal.

This may seem stupid but these experts hate to be laughed at. They could see headline, "Smith's 7th Round Pick Turns Into Stinker - Shuuueee!!" I promise they think like that. The press is way too influential in sports.

All he does is make tackles. I thought that was the goal of the defense. I would rather have a slow guy that makes plays, than a fast guy that can't tackle or is not in position.
