I’m sure you’ll get everybody’s attention. Dabo AINT against using the portal. He AINT! He AINT!!! The staff can go after all the players people want but if said player doesn’t want to come to Clemson, said player can’t be forced to come. Why do people think that players are visiting the campus?

And, I’d rather see the culture of CU athletics stay as is VS bringing in trash mercenaries for a one and done season.

Why take such an extreme position by assuming the worst? Take a look at our basketball program as an example of using the portal correctly. CBB uses the portal and pays the going rate for NIL. He does not build a team from the portal but uses it to enhance the roster of HS recruits. The culture is solid, everyone goes to class and I have not seen a report of a single unwanted issue. Without the portal we would still be another afterthought ACC program but with it we are a very good program. The world of college athletics has changed so Dabo has no choice but to adapt. Dabo’s idea of only using NIL to keep players may be noble, but is obviously not working. His three options are to keep going and tarnish his legacy as we fall apart, retire or adapt. It’s really quite simple.
