“The rich get rich and the poor get poorer” and also Matthew 25 has a similar saying and both are spot on with the way Amateur Sports is headed. The nil and portal rules now allowed by the NCAA will allow sports to be controlled by the rich and famous. Money is the root of all evil and the sports world is becoming a major player in this catastrophe. With the aid of the tv and other media outlets.

except the minimum was only about 800. That's why the Gamecocks left the conference. And that's probably why long term, other conferences like the SEC and Big 10 got stronger athletically. Now athletic success is celebrated more than academic. Student=athlete is almost a misnomer.
