ESPN is always flaunting the strength of the SEC, but the number of elite teams is limited. Same for B1G. LSU, UGa, 'Bama, Texas are tough, but there are a lot of mediocre teams in the SEC. B1G has Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, but there is a fairly rapid drop off from there. Both conferences are stronger than the ACC, but they are not elite.

GT better than the past. Louisville is better, SMU is still in the hunt. Miami is better. Me thinks the ACC is tougher this year.

I concur. There will be better depth this year. GA Tech and Louisville are sneaky good, SMU and Miami will also be pretty good. Don’t forget Syracuse, maybe not as good as last year but pesky. I would say third best maybe even second this year. Think Big10 will be overrated, and SEC totally overrated by propaganda, but still the best.

Worst take ever...our LBs are definitely elite for starters. We don't face any gauntlet SEC teams but face 2 ranked SEC teams with one being top 10? Not making sense. We will play atleast 4-5 ranked teams this season if not more. ACC being weak is a tired take. ACC has won 3 nattys during the playoff era only trailing the SEC. ACC has the best QBs in college football, period. Gonna be a special year. Go Tigers!!!!

It’s not true that the ACC won three nattys during the playoff era. They only won two, both by Clemson. You’re probably trying to include FSU’s 2013 natty, but that was the last year of the BCS era.

Didn't Louisville lose their QB to the Draft? Did they get a portal hopper again

I figured they would be a little more manageable this time around. Unless they're still stealing our signs. I swear that game last year it felt like they knew our play before we ran them. They woudl be overloading the side we ran to every time or switching out to the correct coverage whene we called a pass play. It was either that or they called a magnificent defensive game plan.

I agree with that statement, but it seems that the sports media always has their eyes shut when it comes to talking about just how strong an elite Clemson team can be. It is my opinion that the top 3 teams in the 2025 ACC could give the SEC and Big teams a run for their money on any given day. I mean it's not like the 3 top teams in the Big or SEC are named King Kong, Super Man, or Iron Man that are in most cases unbeatable...

Don’t disagree, but most of what he said is spot on right now. This is more or less the same joes on D that got thrashed last year. Let’s hope we have cleaned up run fits and learned how to tackle

No issue with them talking womans basketball or something like soccer, but please do not expect most college football fans to take anything she says seriously

well, of course, we said they were awesome so don't drop LSU in the rankings, and if we lose they say ZOMG!!! LSU is so incredible to beat such an amazing team. I expect us to win and I expect e$ECpn to emphasize over and over and over that it's not a big deal.

That's all this is. Nothing personal, strictly busine$$.

I agree with her points on our Defense, we need to improve greatly to be an elite team OMHO. Not sure I agree the ACC is down this year and that our conference schedule is easy. Time will tell, and that is why we play the games.

Our defense improved the very second that Dabo hired Tom Allen to take command over our defense than having an unproven inexperienced Goodwin running our defense. IMPO, having Goodwin as our DC was no different than us having Ben Boulware as our DC...

Is our game against LSU all or nothing, absolutely not, but is it a huge opportunity, absolutely yes. The game will be a street fight and if you go into the game expecting anything else, you will be in for a long night because the game may be bigger for LSU than for us.

Well our defense last season was lousy and we are bringing back basically the same players this season. Yes, Wes got all of the blame for their performance and, yes, we expect TA to field an improved defense even with those same players, but that doesn't mean it'll happen, at least not to the degree its gonna take for us to win it all. Im taking a firm "believe it when I see it" position on our defense. And the offense was pretty clunky at times the second half of last season as well. Could easily see us have a similarly good, but not good enough, type of year of offense. And dont even get me started on special teams which had many issues which none of us knows whether or not have been corrected for this season.

I'm more certain that Tom Allen will field a good defense than I am that the perennial football powers sitting at the top , Texas , Georgia , Alabama , Ohiost have struck gold with their first year starting quarterbacks. Nothing to prove there i suppose. But I digress....

Never heard of her…some good points, several a bit squishy…like the beck compliment/criticism…
I think she underestimates TA’s ability to take our D back up the line significantly. Maybe she’s right and I’m wrong….heck I’m a pessimist too until I see the evidence of my hopes and expectations…

Nevertheless…I see ACCCG…a win’ s a toss up from here but I think we are at least in that game.

CFP also more likely than not…but again we will see…

How far we go is as dependent on refs/health/chemistry/strategy and tactics…not worried about our run game…it has to be better between a healthy stable of backs and continued development of O line…passing game…was very good last year…receivers are very good hoping CK2 has as good or better year (fewer misses/mistakes) and this year will be very successful!!!

Go Tigers!!
