Seious question, not trying to be a dumper but curious.

Nov 19, 2012, 7:13 PM

I am in strong hopes that all the stars have aligned and the we will right the direction this game has taken the past few years. However, I ask this question.

Say for instance the worse thing that could happen right now happens and we lose on Saturday... do you think that Dabo will still be good to go or will Clemson want to take a step in another direction. We all know losing to SCAR is unacceptable. We have fired coaches that have beat SCAR on regular basis.. i.e. Danny Ford, Ken Hatfield, Tommy West and Tommy Bowden.... Danny Ford was God, Ken Hatfield had a few ACC Championships and was 32-13-1, Tommy West 31-28 here along with 3 bowl games, Tommy Bowden 72-45 with 8 bowl games, now Dabo is 39-20, 2 10 win season's, can possibly get a 12 or 11 win season this yr, 1 acc championship and 3 division championships... Now is that enough to keep him around if he continues to lose to South Carolina?

Again, I hope he is taking a no prisoner's attitude and he is righting the ship. I think he is by far our most succesful coach since the Ford era...

Your thoughts?

Clemson's going in the correct direction.

His job is completely safe regardless of outcome.

i think it would at least require a sit down to say that the writing is on the wall.In other words, if you lose to sc again, you're gone. For me personally, i want to be a national power BUT losing to SC 4 times in a row is unacceptable. Period

If we lose to Scar and fire Dabo for it, we deserve what

we aren't going to lose to usuc, so this is a hypothetical

question that i will not answer. we have the better staff, the better talent, and we are at home. we will roll!

not sure i agree that yall are better in terms of talent or staff but i do think yall are in a better rythym than us and are the more likely team to win.

that being said, if we do pull it out, there is still no way yall fire dabo. he has yall on better footing than yall have been on in years. would be crazy to fire him.

i'll still say talent and staff. i'll take our up and coming hc over your past his prime hof hc,due to longevity and character. i wouldn't trade any of our coordinators or position coaches for any of yours. clowney is the only player that i would take on our team, but he never would have been admitted to clemson.

Let's be honest. Recent USCjr teams are not equivalent to those that the previous Clemson HC's competed against. However, we must not tolerate losing convincingly like we have last few years. We have too much talent to allow that, so in that sense the heat's on Dabo.

that is a very good point. our teams have been good enough that there is no shame in losing to them. however, the games should have been closer. think yall are much mentally tougher this year and will hit back if we get off to a good start.

Dabo is recruting well. Chad Morris is a rising star...

Nov 19, 2012, 7:43 PM

Brent Venables has a solid track record.

We are in good hands and will be top 10 going into next season.
