It just means more.

I just heard Jesse Palmer say the CFP Committee won’t hold a conference championship loss against them (UGA) because it is an extra game against a tough opponent.
###? Why are we even playing conference championships then?

I don’t think any conf championship loss should count against you if it’s in regards to a comparison against another team from the same conference for a playoff spot. IE if SMU loses to Miami I think their resume weeks 1-12 should be compared to ours 1-12 instead of penalizing them for the ACCCG loss. A team shouldn’t get an advantage because they didn’t qualify for their conf championship game
