I'll not link them here, but if you are keeping up with the SEC - BIG ideas for playoff expansion, particularly, the 4 - 4 - 2 - 2 - 1 - 1 (or whatever the heck it is) formula, it is sickening to read Greg Sankey's comments about how he is concerned with fairness and consultation with the other conferences. We all know the truth that he could care less what the ACC, Big 12 or any other conference thinks. It is going to take something drastic by us and other conferences to derail this pure tee jerk.

Trust me…..we need to continue to schedule SEC games a lot more than they need to schedule to play us. Think if we didn’t play UGA and the coots last year….our schedule would have been laughable🤔

Illinois. You were favored by 9 points. What happened to your SEC team? That’s laughable.
Nine wins. Not bad for coots, but it’s laughable that you accomplished so little yet again. It was the best season in who knows how long, and you still didn’t do anything other than accept a gift from Clemson.
ILLINOIS. You were favored by 9 and they still prevented you from 10 wins. That’s laughable.
Speaking of 10 wins, coots have four 10 win seasons in 130 years. ONLY FOUR. Clemson has four 10 win seasons in the last five years alone. That’s laughable.
It’s also laughable that a coot thinks he’s doing something by pretending to be a Clemson fan. Must really suck having nothing in the trophy case. It’s so bad you you have to pretend. The fact you feel you’re accomplishing something speaks of your obvious low IQ. That’s laughable.

games will likely mean nothing but an exhibition for playoff hopes for almost any team (outside of ND and the Group of 5)…there is maybe, maybe 1 at large spot open annually in that scenario (they'll game it for ND). It'll all be about finishing in the top 2 of the ACC, nothing more or less matters.

With the exception of a couple teams NOT in the SEC OR BIG, no one not a due hard fan of all the other teams really gives a #### about all of the other teams. 98% of anyone paying attention and paying for media rights know this.
Clemson, FSU AND UNC KNOW THIS. TIME THE FANS ACCEPT IT.

Color me wrong but I honestly believe esecpn is fixing to put a stop to it. They're smart enough, I think, to realize they can't profit if their viewership shrinks to the southeast market only.
If I were at fox, I'd be trying to take over the acc, b12, and western schools' markets. Let esecpn have their little sec market and that's all.

That doles out $500M annually. I'm not a betting man but I'd be willing to bet a paycheck that that now freed up $500M will help fund the SEC's proposed play-in games & the CFP pot that the SEC will be getting a bigger piece of the pie of.

It's time for the ACC and Big 12 to say we're not going to be a part of this. They (the SEC and B1G) already have a substantial money advantage in tv revenue and now they are rigging the CFP. Just enough. And if the SEC and B1G break off and do their own league to he-- with it.

Totally agree, but someone a lot smarter than me is going to have to think of something drastic to change the direction college football seems to be going in. Right now, the SEC and BIG have all the leverage, but I can't believe all of the other conferences together can't provide some sort of pressure to change the trajectory some. It might start with some pushback with the CFP. I'm one who actually thinks that 12 teams are too many and that no more than 2 teams from each conference should be included. The purpose of the CFP (other than additional revenue for ESPN) is to determine the college football champion, not the second best or the top 12. So if you are not 2nd in your conference you are sure as heck not the best in the country.

I'll continue to say it. He is bad for college football. He's Putin, Vader, the Devil...take your pick. I'm sure he's a bright guy, but he is helping to destroy college football as we know it. I'm so tired of the ESPN/Finebaum echo chamber talking about how smart he is....he is terrible for college football! I wish an independent journalist (if there are any left) would do an expose on how these guys are destroying the sport as we all know and love it.

I think there are some that are starting to expose these guys. Hopefully, it will create some support for other conferences and some other avenues. I'm not particularly anti Jim Phillips like a some here, but I agree that I don't think he is the guy to do it.

Clemson will be in the CFP every year if the ACC is given 2 spots.
It will make the regular season seem like scrimmage.
