SC coaching search rumor mill.

These are the two rumors that seem to be dominating what I can find on the net.
1. Beamer is the man. He's assembling his staff. Just waiting on the right time to announce the hire.
2. Beamer is the leader but there are "influencers" at SC who are pushing for Napier. No final decision has been made.
There are still a few rumors talking about Freeze, Brown, Chadwell and a few others, but here is what I'm reading about those three. (Remember, I'm just posting a composite of what I'm seeing.)
Freeze: He was never considered. He was offered the job but turned it down. He is waiting on Tennessee to open. He's waiting on Auburn to open. He was considered but never offered the job.
Chadwell: Same rumors as Freeze, but I haven't seen his name connected with Auburn. I have seen his name floated about Vandy.
Brown: A few folks think he is a dark horse, but not many.
Elliott: Any rumors about him have seemed to die out.
Side Note: If I were a fan of any SEC team, one of my concerns right now would be that Lane Kiffin hired Derek Mason as DC.

I am kinda hoping for Beamer. Frnak's coaching tree is one big stump. I would love to see a sucker pop out and then get weedwhacked by el Cit.
I hope Napier has more sense. I think that VT *might* be opening up and he can at least land a program that isn't a cluster. I don't want him to toss away his future.
My bet, the coots will get the 6th pick on their third page of options... and be kinda a surprise and a lot of ugly.

because no one wants to throw a monkey wrench in Coastal's season, but if SCar isn't running an all-out blitz campaign for that guy, they're even stupider than we all thought. Napier should be choice 1B. But, as we also know, it's really a matter of the coach picking the school and not the other way around in the case of SCar. They have to find someone who wants the job and apparently that's easier said than done.

That's one of my go to sites for the carousel.
Somebody pointed it out to me years ago when it was K-Coach. (There was a split and one of the two sites in the split became Football Scoop.)
