As much as I love Clemson. I’m not sure how they can say that. It’s all about TV markets. Yes, Clemson draws a lot of eyeballs but if you are the SEC you want markets you are not in. That’s why UNC and Virginia keep popping up. The BiG10 only benefits if they move south. Again, Virginia, UNC, Clemson and maybe FSU.

Back when everything was regionalized broadcast wise, it was everything. Eyeballs are eyeballs. Some programs get them and some dont. Clemson does.

It doesn’t matter if you’re in Podunk, South Dakota. You can still be a popular brand watched by many. By the same token, you can be in a huge city and nobody gives a crap to watch you on TV.
Brand has nothing to do with location. Football pays the bills UNC and UVA are nowhere near Clemson is football brand.

Greenville market is huge. Way out punches it’s weight because of the fanaticism in SC. And FSU is a good draw if they are good in football but nobody cares about or watches their basketball or baseball or anything, and when they aren’t good in football there are NFL teams all around for people to care more about
