Call me crazy but this seems like the better option - better average and better percentage inside the 20. Not sure what Brown's hangtime is, but you have to believe nobody would get past the punter in the return game. How many punters end up with a forced fumble on their resume?

He was buried deep on the depth chart at FSU. (Quite frankly, the coaches didn't expect him to ever be the startign QB. He was the last guy in his class offered a scholly.) Punted his freshman year, then redshirted, didn't become starter until his junior year.

He scored a lot of TDs in high school too. With him back there, you would always have to be ready for a fake. Honestly I'd much rather see him execute a fake than what we've had back there the last four years.

The average over the last 4 years has been better than Pinion's (still in the NFL) best year.

1) Comparing HS punting stats with college punting stats is folly at best. How many HS AA Punters bomb in college. It's not the same thing.
2) We have a bunch of big strong RBs who actually practice at the position full time so what would a LB bring to the table that the RBs can't offer? If you say strength and power, Mafah & Adams say hi....

I live in Jefferson and watched Sammy Brown play for 3 years, (he played his first year at Commerce) most of his punts were rollers that never got fielded. After a couple games you would be screaming for a change because he wasn’t punting boomers.
