All the higher rated players in the portal are flying off the shelf and as usual our conference opponents are loading up . We need probably 4-5 players and we can’t attract anyone. The Purdue DE visiting today has to other teams to visit, LSU and TA&M. Would be nice to close the deal.

I think we get Heldt. LSU got Butler from Nebraska, so I think that has decreased their appeal to Heldt. I think it is down to us and Texas A&M. If the reports are true and he is visiting today I think we should do everything we can to make sure he doesn't leave today without a commitment. We need some edge depth, and with 2 years of legibility left, I think he fits perfectly on our team.

Let this sink in for a moment, we’re holding our breath for a transfer player from Purdue. A team that only won one game all season against a 1-AA opponent, to come here to help our team. This college football now. The kid had good stats , but still.
