Clemson fans aren't required to care about basketball the same way they do about football, or baseball, etc....
This fan, and most of the Clemson fans I know count basketball as the 3rd, or even 4th most cared about men's sport at Clemson. It is what it is.

I’m a football guy, but I do agree this should be higher priority than former football players who chose NOT to play for Clemson anymore. Best of luck to them but a basketball story should be higher priority.

Baseball just seems more popular on T-net due to the demographics of this site. The average baseball fan is older, white and often sedentary.

Found another one who can’t handle the facts. BTW baseball has declined in popularity for the past 20 years an the younger generation will not sit in one spot for 3-4 hours while teams seem to make the game go as slow as possible

Yet way more Clemson fans and students watch Clemson basketball in comparison to college baseball. College baseball is growing, but it's stil way behind men's college basketball. It's probably behind women's hoops.

Once they can finally win a Championship of some sort then they probably will. It’s not like these basketball schools started all with full support and attention to basketball. They became good first then came the fan following.
If we continue to consistently go deep in post season and finally bring home some sort of hardware the fan support will come.

Lol. This is t-net. Take it with a grain of salt. If Clemson didn't care about basketball it wouldn't have around 8000 fans in both these games with students not fully back yet against two California teams that don't turn the needle.
More people are going to talk football year around because it is the 800 lb gorilla.
Haven't really seen much talk about baseball on t-net except looking forward to the season.
Basketball is very big and once the program can consistently get to the NCAAT it will get bigger and bigger.

This site is only good for the message boards and half of the regulars there don’t even know sports….they don’t get game times right on their schedules and they’ve been wrong sooooo many times when reporting baseball numbers….

I went to Clemson website this morning to see if we won. Open the page nothing. Had to go to bball and schedule to see. I thought “well late game so…” then remembered a couple late football games and we got good coverage.
It is clear Tim B is not in charge of sports info @ Clemson. Number of staff bios that are incomplete - an example.

And people were trying to come to grips with how we were not a football school and never would be. If they win they will get the support. They made a run last year. The trend has been so far that now they will miss the tournament completely this year get beat in the first round of the NIL this year, miss any postseason tournament all together next year, best in the NIL first round again, make the tournament again finally as the last 4 in and play in game.
If they can finally break their trends and make another sweet 16 this year they might be on the way.
