Personally, I think our lack of RB star power in the NFL has hurt us. UGA and other powers can sell them on getting the ready but, outside of ETN....who was the last NFL 1st Rd pick? CJ Spiller....and before him? Yeah we don't have he legacy power atm. Hopefully Gideon hits and can start showing top RB recruits they can thrive at Clemson too.

G. Davidson - 2025 Top 3 consensus RB in the Nation coming out of high school
W. Shipley - 2021 Top 2 consensus RB in the Nation coming out of high school
P. Mafah - 2021 247 had him as the 11th best RB in the Nation but I've seen him ranked as high as 9 by others
T. Etienne - 2017 Ranked 17th at the position coming out of high school, but ended up arguably being the greatest RB in Clemson history (if you consider Spiller more of an all purpose guy)
These are our last 4 RBs. I'd say we've recruited the position pretty well.
