Rumors about NIL contracts signed by players.

Has any player or any collective made it public what the player is making?
I'm just wondering if the rumors are highly exaggerated. Wondering why not even 1 HS player has tweeted, "Just signed a sweet deal with Moneybags collective. Going car shopping tomorrow. Wonder what I can get for 300K?"

I think they’re absolutely exaggerated. I find it hard to believe Rattler is banking $2m. No way.

Maybe I'm naive but IMO what we are seeing from sites like On3 and others is the "potential" collective earnings over a 3 to 4 year college career. I know Bama has a big alumni base but $3.5 million a year for Bryce Young is hard to believe.

On3 Valuation is an annual estimate of the value a player is worth in NIL. Bryce Young's valuation is $3.5M per year. That's a VALUATION, it does not mean he has signed deals worth that much...he may have signed for less, or more, or nothing...this is just a valuation.
Rattler's valuation is $882k DJ's is $400k Cade's is $197k

Saw article where when trying to keep Rattler he signed NIL with #### Dyer Mercedes and some fancy Zit cream company. They said that between the two he was guaranteed right at $1mil if played 2023 at USC. I guess the collective was looking for more money but I doubt they came up with another $4mil for him but who knows?
Saw some Mercedes ads with Rattler in them already.

...are mainly bs.
Because, if we're honest, most of these rumors are along the lines of "my poor team can't get decent NIL deals for its players, but our rivals get multi-million dollar deals for their players."

Hopefully someone gave them the financial advice of not advertising it. I think we've all either experienced or heard about how "old friends and family" seem to come out of the woodwork when someone they know runs into a bit of a cash windfall. Parasites are everywhere just waiting, unfortunately.

The actual numbers are nowhere close to what is being speculated:

3

But the huge numbers serve as a ready-made excuse for the pumpers to say that we are a victim of the new college football, can’t afford to pay to get the top players, and thus can’t be elite.

Told by who?
A little bird told him.
Given the uneven season Rattler had, it would make sense for him to return, even if he didn't make a dime.

How much you estimate FSU has spent on the portal over last two years?

I have no idea.

I expect it is in the top 30% or so of all P5 schools.
NIL's were slow to the party last year. This year a new collective was formed with the expressed purpose of spending money on retention. That is a mjaor factor in why so many kids decided to stay for another year (Travis, Benson, Wilson, Verse, etc.) and why others didn't enter the portal.
But, as Norvell said, "If it comes down to money being the deciding factor, we'll lose." No way are we offering what aTm or Miami or SoCal are offering.
But, as for the specific dollar amounts, I have no idea. I suspect it is much less than the rumors are reporting.

NDA's really don't hold up in a court of law. Hard to prove.
My understanding is that the NIL money is overexaggerated. It's kind of like the guy that is so intrigued about what your friend or you are making, then they guess and spread it like wildfire.
Everything I've read is don't believe what you hear when it comes to NIL...or most everything else.

Plus, look at the supposed top NIL schools and tell me they bought success.
Texas? Texas A&M? Miami? Kentucky basketball?
I can go on but you get the point.
I don't think GA won because of NIL or Transfer Portal. I think they won because of recruiting the base, add a few transfers for depth, pay what they can afford.

With the NIL, many of these kids who know that they aren't @nfl level talent are reaching for the brass ring of NIL. But they they find it to fools gold.
