I’m just getting old…remember when he was whooping Johnny weaver and George beckers butt when he broke in…hated that guy but weaver and Becker and it coming. Great character guy…ole wrestlers were a different breed!

Man, johnny weaver and george becker goes even further back. Thing is in my memory it seems like george becker was really old when he was with johnny weaver. How old do you think he was right around the time he quit? In his sixties? lol

He was just about done when I started watching. I remember seeing him doing promos, but not wrestling. The NWA/WCW was shifting to Tully & Arn competing for tag team gold, while holding the TV title and U.S. title IIRC. I miss those days of wrestling.

As I remember it was Gene and Ole (spelling) at the first talking junk and pointing that finger at the camera about who’s a- s was next. That good old Saturday at 5pm theatrics!
