Right now I pull for ACC teams over SEC anytime they are playing

And if/when we move to the SEC, I cannot imagine myself pulling for any SEC teams still, no matter who they are playing.
Is that the consensus?

I agree. I hate the SEC and their blowhard fans who quickly dump their favorite team if another SEC team is winning.

SEC fans don't dump their teams. The root for the conference. Rooting for the conference, based on the OP and responses, clearly matters.

years ago when playing other SEC teams he thought had a better chance of playing for the natty. He didn't want an upset to knock the other team out of the top 2.

IDK. The SEC made "conference pride" and the "if one wins we all win" a thing. I remember years ago our fans never pulled for other ACC teams in bowls or non con games unless they were playing the coots. It's just the way it was back then.

Agreed. I never pulled for ACC teams when I was in school or even up until recently. But over time my hatred for all things SEC has far surpassed my hatred for other ACC teams, therefore I find myself pulling for ACC teams.

Been following Clemson since the late 1950s and for me, the ACC has never helped Clemson in any sport. Ever.
