The offense didn't have much time to develop plays due to the UGA defense. However, they did have a decent first drive down field to start the half. That front 7 for UGA is quite possibly the strongest in the nation. If Clemson develops over the season and begins to peak during post season, I like their chances against UGA in a rematch.

Some teams develop and peak more than others. Clemson struggled against some teams in 2018, and Bama was destroying teams left and right from Game 1. They developed and peaked before Clemson. It was to such a degree that media pundits were calling Clemson overrated and issuing statements such as Bama being the best team in college football history. Clemson continued to develop and ended up peaking in the post season. The result was a 44-16 beatdown.

This much is true. However, Clemson struggled against Texas A&M, GT scored 21 against our defense, and South Carolina scored 35.

And Clemson is one of those. We have always been a second half of the season team. Teams like UGA & Bama have somehow found a way to be almost perfect in game one every season.

Although I have to admit I thought the sky was falling during the game that was set off by winning the toss and electing to receive followed immediately by at DJU bounce pass and Randall illegal motion coupled with a few tasty beverages flowing in my circulatory system.....
After watching the tape, knowing how we never come out of the starting gate hot, giving UGA the credit they deserve, and looking at our schedule as it is layed out, I am convinced all will be good, we will peak as we go along, and play in the ACC CG.
If we win that, we will be in the CFP with a bye and I will take my chances from there.

We play by the same rules. We are just elite when it comes to recruiting on both sides of the ball. We added a few transfers and we see where both programs are. Dabo is not Smart.

We seem to have such a poor teaching nucleus surrounding our wide receivers. As a general rule they have failed to block on our running plays this season and others as needed to have a good running game. Elite teams have guys with more of a killer instinct.

I agree wholeheartedly! Georgia "peaked too soon" last year. They may have done the same this year. I'm believing our guys will win out and earn the right to face those dawgs again in the playoffs. It starts today! Go Tigers!!

I was pretty positive going into that game. At this point I don't see any way Clemson can beat a team like UGA. It would take a massive amount of improvement on so many levels.
I hope the fans that are blaming the QB alone get their wish soon so they can see it won't matter who the qb is until the philosophy changes at the least.

If we don’t beat ourselves on offense and can establish some “cough” rhythm, a re-do of that game would be much closer…
For starters we would’ve been up at half and then would’ve had a td instead of FG in first drive of second half.
We will see what direction it goes but offensive execution can’t get worse. Talent is present.

Water boarding might have met its match.... make these detainees watch the low lights of DJUs clemson days and they will be spilling their beans in no time.
