the laterals were all backwards
and penalties are not sposed to be reviewable
running on the field,helmets off don't matter
blocking in the back was called and the used the lengthy review to pretend like the pick the flag up on their own

If it was such a "good play", why did they suspend the officials on the field and the officials that did the replays for 2 games? The acc announced that this morning, saying that crew made multiple errors on that play. They six they missed multiple blocks in the back, missed the knee being down, and missed the player running on the field before the play was over with his helmet on. Now can anyone actually watch that play and argue that it was a "good play"?

By not initially announcing the penalty, they were, technically, able to "confer" on it and announce it at the same time as the play review.

So, if a foul is not specifically reviewable, then it cannot be reviewed nor corrected under the egregious error rule.
The only reviewable fouls are Rules 12-3-2-c and -d, 12-3-4-b and -e, and 12-3-5-a
12-3-2-c. Forward pass or forward handing when a ball carrier is or has been beyond
the neutral zone.
12-3-2-d. A forward pass or forward handing after a change of team possession.
12-3-4-b. Player beyond the neutral zone when kicking the ball.
12-3-4-e. Blocking by Team A players before they are eligible to touch the ball on an
on-side kick.
12-3-5-a. The number of players on the field for either team during a live ball.

his knee was down. At least the grainy shots and the angle we saw at the time. Maybe there is a clearer shot available.
Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. We're talking about nano seconds and fractions of an inch.
I did, however think they could have made a valid call on at least one block in the back
I love a good "Miracle Finish" as much as any fan, but I think it needs to be completely clean to qualify as a miracle and to steal away a win from a team like that.
Oh well it's over now. Sucks to be Duke.
