They just need to legalize it. Knowing the state of SC, it will likely be one of the last states to legalize pot.

NC is ahead of the curve compared to SC, if only slightly.
Native American tribe have open up dispensaries in WNC.
Through the hemp farm bill, THC-A is now allowed to be sold and as I understand it the only difference is that the flower is left on the plant longer which changes it enough to not be illegal.
Here in Charlotte there are lounges where you can buy joints and smoke them.

That doesn't change the fact that weed has no place in a high profile football program.
You can glorify pot all you want but it 100% will effect a humans max performance.
If you want to smoke weed and play football go to USC. If you want to be the best you can be come to Clemson and buy into the program. Be All In and you will be set for life.

Respectfully disagree with you. You clearly have no idea how prevalent pot smoking actually is in D1 football, Clemson very much included in that. And I'm not saying it's alright and good... I lived in Calhoun courts my sophomore year and Andre Ellington (among many others) would regularly stop by and buy from my roommate. I was enfuriated that our on-campus residence became a pot dealing den but I promise you a lot, if not most of the football team used weed in some way, shape, or form. It doesn't make you a terrible human being.

I've smoked enough to fill several trashcans in my heyday. I'm not saying it makes you a terrible human. I'm saying that it has no place in a high level football program. I'm from an area not to far from Ellington. No doubt in my mind he enjoyed some devils lettuce. But if he smoked it throughout the season I would be surprised. Same with Phelps he wasn't token up during Olympic training or even while competing. If you want to hit the bong in the off-season go ahead. Just keep it out of the program.

Respectfully, you are wrong. And you are double wrong if you think athletes can consume booze with no negative effectives.
Active ingredients in weed have effective anti-inflammatory & pain management effects. Much better than something like oxycotton or any manufactured pain pill

Yeah, let's legalize drunkenness and being high. Sorry, it's wrong any way you look at it unless you look at it in a liberal way.

Don't pretend this is a liberal thing. I personally have zero close liberal friends. More than half the conservative friends I have enjoy marijuana in different forms regularly. Some for pain management, some just for the buzz.

That's right! Keep it illegal and let the cartel black markets rake in billions in every town, city, and college campus across north america! Don't dare regulate it and tax it like alcohol. Criminals and degenerates use the evil weed. Real men of faith get blackout on whiskey.

And let's forget that everywhere they have legalized it crime has skyrocketed. You have places trying to reign in all these liberal legalize everything models they have implemented. You are right about one thing, no reason for alcohol to be legal either. Alcohol is one of the most if not the most destructive drug out there. Tired of seeing drunks wipe out entire families bc they aren't smart enough not to drive.

Why exactly do YOU get to decide what I do to MY body? Yet we are suppose to live in a free society. It truly is amazing. Pot was made illegal because it threatened cotton. It’s really that simple. It should 100% be legal. It’s more natural than anything else that’s legal. Tobacco has to be processed and liquor has to be distilled. Pot only has to be dried and consumed.

Carry on. Dabo don’t suspend anyone caught with guns on campus. He ain’t suspending anyone for pot possession. The guns on campus thing was a big deal to me for personal reasons. He dropped the ball on that one.

Sammy Watkins got a 2 game suspension for weed. That was back in 2012. Maybe Dabo has mellowed.
Plus it's not even part of NCAA drug testing anymore.

Being a land grant, I suppose if legalized the university could get into medical use research. Generate research grants and receive an AAU invite. Get offered a spot in the Big10 and then have the extra cash to pay the football players in the revenue sharing agreement. Full circle back to football players buying and using weed.

Legalize it. It can't be controlled at this point. Some people abuse it like people do with alcohol. Just educate the youth about the dangers of overuse. There's a lot of pot smoking going on with the younger people. All your going to do is keep the judicial system bogged down trying to enforce it.

Simply it is a gateway drug to anyone who is willing to take a critical look at marijuana. Should never be legalized for recreational use as it will only create more lost unmotivated souls, broken homes, deaths and a taxpayer burden for rehab!!!

Pretty simple. Just sit back and take a look at the type of people who want it legalized, and then ask yourself if that’s the people you want making decisions on drug policies in South Carolina
