This is ridiculous. Why can't we get our "commits" to "shut down" their recruiting like everybody else can? IF he is committed, then why are "UGA and OSU still in it???"

he sticks to his Clemson Commitement. We just don't hold onto players like this especially for this long. You can see the righting on the wall. Urban is all over this guy a I am sure UGA is chanting SEC every chance they get. Michael Carvell over at AJC will be all over D Watson's jock strap here soon if not already writing stories about him until he decommits.
Just get it over with D Watson. I sure hope we have a backup plan.

there is no doubt Carvell will do all he can to sway him away. Remember how "helpful" he was during Nkemdiche's recruitiment

There is so much that irks me with recruiting in general, I can't stand it. One of which is the sniveling weasel that is Carvell and his need to make a sports version of a dirty entertainment mag full of misquotes and slanders towards Clemson and the ACC.
The other thing is the ongoing charade of commitment...

That's why I stopped following it (although I am in this thread). I have no idea who is committed until National Signing Day. That way, NSD is like Christmas and I get to look at presents Clemson got.

To me it's pretty simple if Chad stays he will probably come. The problem is Meyer is the head coach and offensive mind behind that team.Meyer might be arguing that Morris will have a head coaching job before Deshaun even plays. I think if Morris goes Dabo will find another great offensive mind for the team but how do you convince a kid of this.It might not hurt for us to have an understudy to Morris just as some teams have one for the head coach.

FWIW, on another board I frequent there is a clemson poster who claims to be in the know on watson saying pretty much what you said. If morris is around watson will go to clemson. If morris leaves he wont. Of course that may all be just a guy talkng but it does make some sense.

he & Mom have been strong on Clemson & Dabo.
Think we have 50-50 chance to sign him up in Feb, but it will be a "Dawg" race to the end..and much depends on our season..and out #2 & #3 QB's play and projections for 2014.
Watson's a winner and will do well anywhere he goes. So, hold your breath and be ready for one of those wild rides like last several years.

All we have to so is beat Ga and USuC. If we want to stop losing recruits to the SEC then we have to beat them. If this kid bails there are other QBs out there that will want to play for our high powered offense. When our defense steps up and shuts down our competition this year the defensive recruits will come also. We got to perform!!!
