Reasonable Hotel Rates in Clemson?

Nov 12, 2012, 10:27 PM

Are there any? Or are those prices because of the game?

If you have a sleeping bag the floor of my apartment is wide open. Hopefully you can tolerate some Clemson students celebrating a big victory. ;)

That sounds awesome!!!!

If it was just me...I would...

But it will be me, wife, daughter, son-in-law, son, daughter in law....

Lol! You get the picture....

Still sounds fun though!

GO TIGERS!

Clemson rates are way high...try Anderson, Seneca,

Nov 12, 2012, 10:35 PM

or Greenville or try to find a condo. We stayed this past weekend at a condo on the lake for about half of what a hotel would have been.

I stayed in Greenville...the rates were more normal. Even, Seneca and Anderson, were either booked or high, or both.

Anderson is your closet best bet - BUT many of the rates jumped $50+ today after the game time was announced. Even some of the Greenville hotels that were between 85-110 went up $25+ and the less expensive mid line chains are now show no rooms.

There is a b and b in Pendleton that is reasonable

Nov 13, 2012, 6:17 AM

It's not listed on the hotel websites, so it doesn't usually get slammed. I will see if I can find it's website again

Even the old Ramada Inn (which I think is called University Inn now?) jacks up their rates to 250/night, 2-night minimum range. Many Anderson hotels have jacked up their rates too. You may be able to find a hotel in Easley or Seneca for less than $150/night, or possibly some in Anderson near the business park (exit 27). But the only guaranteed good rates are in Greenville.
