Not sure if it’s been posted but this is a pretty telling video of a good many plays from Monday… cade actually made a few really nice throws that were dropped but watch the video and listen to how many times he questions what the wrs are doin as far as not being on the same page… and also notice on about every play how the dbs are on the hop of every wr , they just run lazy routes and just stop it seems … pretty frustrating to watch these wrs

I gave it a watch and thought it was pretty good. One point the guy made that stuck out to me is Cade's decision making not being the best. From that first throw that should've been an INT to his decisions throughout the game with scrambling to keep plays alive, it looked like he had no trust in his teammates. He's got growing to do as a player and a leader though, and not everyone is plug n play like Deshaun and Trevor were.

Yea I agree but he also made some great throws that were drops that could have been big plays … and more than once the guy pointed out like what are the wr doin… more than once they didn’t seem like they were on the same page but what stood out most to me was just the super lazy routes… I mean you gotta hell your qb out some and it was like the duke dbs knew exactly what the route was… and for everybody that said there was nothing ever open deep I strongly disagree… watch a few of those plays and there were some one on one stuff on the boundaries that we could have taken a chance , not once did we throw it to a wr down the sideline to just see if he could make a play…. Also this video shows the pass pro was better than ppl like to claim , cade had time there was just either no one open often or we didn’t take a chance down the field when there was one on one

Except we saw cade throw some absolute strikes on those speed outs prior to wrs finishing their breaks, DJ still cant/doesnt do that. I was not impressed by DJ saturday and that fall from the sky is going to hurt alot of Oregon St fans feelings.
Most the mistakes Cade made are actually very fixable and in the video JT actually notes most the mistakes are avoidable if the wr does a better job. I think there were 3 plays JT called out Cades decision making. The first near int he tried to force a post into an area where there was a safety and corner, the second near int that the lb got hands on(he called out the fact he threw it too low), and the play Cade slid on(he wanted cade to hit that underneath route, i personally disagree bc odds are that guy gets tackled before the line to gain and believe Cade made the right call but should have not slid).

T16 was exactly plug and play either his freshman year. KB had to bail us out against TA&M. But, as the season went on, he got tremendously better

the ball. The offensive and defensive coaches put our guys in position to make the plays needed. Cade wasn't processing things well. He appeared to be too hyped up. If we can get Cade calmed down, possibly with some early runs, we'll see things open up.
If Cade can calm down, see the open guys and deliver the ball accurately and on time, we will be fine.

I agree with some of that but disagree that guys were open , I mean watch the video the duke guys literally looked like they knew the routes… they were very lazy and there was not a lot of open guys to throw to and when he made a great throw it was dropped

happened throughout the game. TI had a nice video breakdown yesterday with about 14 plays from the game. Guys were crossing his face or releasing into the flats and were wide open. He wasn't processing and delivering, for whatever reason.
I don't think our problems are as deep as what the current board narrative is.

I def agree this is a snap shot but shows the issues at wr imo… I also agree that cade on a few of the plays even in that video could have dumped it off and prob got some yards with ship… but I’m assuming he was shy of that bc we ran that a few times and got nothing … I love ship to death he’s as tough of a rb as we have ever had but we do not have a game changer there like in the past either as far as catching that ball dumped off and goin for either 20’yards or to the house , just not part of that room right now like we had in the past. But I also agree watching he had some stuff open he just needs to process quicker or take off bc that forces defenses to account a guy to spy. And I realize you don’t wanna get him hurt but that’s where he’s gotta learn on first down yea slide short of the sticks if you’re not sure but on 4th down late in the game you gotta get it. He will get better I’m more frustrated with the scheduling to be honest the last couple years but that’s a complete diff story and discussion

much on criticizing the quality, performance and coaching of our wide receivers, based upon what I saw in this video and TI's videos. Everybody makes mistakes and the receivers had their share. But, guys were running free, wide open and on the move. Had Cade completed some more of those passes we would be talking more about how we are finally getting guys open in space and getting more chunk plays and gashing people.
I agree on Shipley and his lack of speed in the open field. He did not produce in the passing game given the number of times he was targeted. Mafah got run down on a long run and you might question his speed as well, but it was after a gain of 47 yards. I would like to see us divide the touches between the two running backs more evenly, including throwing Mafah the ball in space. Neither back is going to outrun the entire defense, but Mafah is more likely to run through tackles from backers, safeties and corners.
If Cade can calm down, I expect us to see a much smoother offensive operation.

he really just doesn't have good receivers or RBs. One any given play, 1/2 of them are going to make mistakes. If this is the upperclassmen years in the program and into development,

CK2 is the best player on offense.
Will Shipley is two with a gap.
The WR room. Antonio Williams and #6 are good. the rest mid.
Oline. they really didn't do bad

I’ll be the first to admit I believe I put more than warranted on DJ and more so on streeter which I def believe we needed a change at OC… I still think cade is a much better qb now and will be much better with time… I watched dj sun and he looked the same… underthrown balls and yea he can bull rush for 6-7 yards. But the good throws he made he had 10 min to sit in the pocket also against very bad competition. But back to us I def think these wr are just not being developed or they are being taught terribbke route running skills… there were many times in the video where if the wr would have sat in the zone we would have completions but they just lazily run right into the next defender

… in putting together this type of information, but it seems like we’re just helping out opposing team’s coaches by providing this.
If it were just a one-off, then no problem, but I saw another post with someone asking for video cut ups of 22 prior games.
Let’s be a little more “conservative” about providing information in this format that can be used against us… just saying…
