He didn't have a chance to blow the game with a bad coaching decision with a ten run lead

Plus I don't usually debate with people with low pulse.

I am not debating. I am just making a point to the fans who want to say this is a horrible team after a bad loss on Saturday. Let them play the entire season before you give up on them.

I will. Two games into the season, with 2 wins and one loss,I would say Jack has us right where he wants us.

The people who get on here and Bash Jack don't know their backside from a hole in the ground about Baseball..... yep, they might have played rec. ball or maybe in high school.... but never on the level of D1 baseball.
What you get are a lot of opinions from so called fans who wouldn't know what to do if they were out there coaching on the field. They would probably wet their pants if they were on the field or even trying to coach at this level.
Pay no attention to them.

I just hope he will go get us some better hitters so we won't have a roster full of 5'7" guys.

Wrong. FSU did that with Bowden, still trying to recover.***

I see a roster that is getting bigger stronger more powerful guys in the lineup. Then you show up to the game and all of the 5 foot 8 slap bunters are in the lineup. Campana needs to play. I would even give Reader more opportunities. Both can absolutely rake. I know they arent prototypical Leggett players, but they can get it done at this level.
This is an important year for Jack. You can start to see some doubt from a lot of fans regarding his ability to win at a level acceptable for Clemson. I know this is going to sound like shocking news, but im not the only one who doubts Leggetts ability to recruit at the level required.

It is true that there are those that doubt Leggett, but the reality of it is that he will be here as long as he pleases.

Don't know where you got the idea that Reader can rake. He only had a couple of hits all spring and a TON of strikeouts. Can't hit an off speed pitch to save his life. He'll get an at bat here and there purely for the PR value, but that's about all you'll see of him unless McGibbon breaks a leg. Even then they would probably move somebody else to first.

Ask me that question in the same tone when we: 1.) Win the ACC 2.) Finish in the top 8 in the country, or 3.) Win the College World Series.

A question to all critics of Leggett
Feb 17, 2013, 4:56 PM
|
|
Just a question. Besides just being a fan. Who on here has had top level experience either at D1 Baseball or professional Baseball to know what Jack should or shouldn't be doing?
Just wondering, or are the critics just people who think we should win every game. Something people don't realize about Baseball, is that all it takes for teams like W&M to win one game is just ONE good pitcher. And there are a lot of schools like W&M who have ONE really good pitcher.
And guess what? It happens to the top teams all over the country. They will get beat by a team that their fans think they should NEVER lose to, but that team will have that one really excellent pitcher who will probably go on and be drafted into the majors. It happens to the best teams out there.
After 3 games, it is a little too early to try and write the season off. Look at our roster. This is one of the youngest teams that Leggett has had since he took over from Wilhelm.

Prime example Georgia Southern 11- 2 over Georgia. Every college has one good pitcher.
