I really hope we play more than one. I look at last year, Mafah playing hurt and our run game disappearing.. and we barely played any other back, even Haynes. I love Mafah and his run style, but It was frustrating to watch him start running short to avoid contact. So let's hope we get away from that trend of riding only one guy all season.

A hurt RB isn’t good when everyone including the other team knows he’s hurt!
I hope Randal gives us a huge advantage over the competition, especially LSWho

WHY? He continues to show he ain't no RB. Runs straight up. Huge target for any defender. Ain't that tough to bring down either. IMHO

I’m not a Randall advocate… he’s not a running back. Maybe he’ll prove me wrong, but that is not a position you learn over night. Go Tigers!!! Beat LSU!!!

The idea was for him to be like the kid from SMU that burned us up running & catching.
I think his number was .#1 and he was in their offense, a matchup nightmare.

Being 6 3 he stands out.easy to spot and he runs upright.he will get laid out.he had 2 good runs and we think he is a savior.be good for certain situations.him being Cades roommate and great friend has alot to do with it as well.cades trying to save him and create a spot.and yeah he does have influence like that

I like Randall at RB. Not sure he’s an every down back but has a role. The RB room is surprisingly crowded. I didn’t think that last year. Davidson is going to press for playing time. So many different styles in that room from the bruiser (Adams) to the scat back (Haynes) and the matchup problem (Randall).
My guess is Haynes gets the start if he’s healthy.
Also from yesterday, it appears we could see more 2-back sets and less reliance on TEs.

He should be a great back in passing situations. Time will tell if he can be an every down back.

noticed on ESPN “RB’s to watch for Heisman” in 2025, Randall isn’t even in the top 10. I quit reading the article after I finished it. Unbelievable the SEC bias!

Yeah, Henry is about +30 lbs of muscle and a bad attitude runner his whole life. Randall is a WR that washed out and got concreted. Even Patterson would be a best case scenario comp.
I do like the idea of motioning him out of the backfield to create mismatches, but if he is our bellcow back this season our offense has a hard ceiling.

I'm not at all saying that Randall is Henry. What I am saying is that immediately disregarding him just because he runs straight up and down is ridiculous.

Even if he is to start, I just don't see it lasting that long. I think he'll get touches in various ways, but he's not a 15-20 carry type RB. I can see 5-7 with a few swing type passes and wheel routes designed for him.

He is a wr playing rb...it will most likley be a linebacker trying to cover him on pass plays.

Give me Gideon Davidson or Eazy E. These guys have thousands and thousands of reps over there highly recognized peewee and high school careers. Randall comparatively has no reps and is playing RB due to no slots existing in WR rotation.
Hopefully all three help each other, Randall provides some short yardage help, and the RB room stays healthy.

I think people are making too big of a deal about his lack of experience. He may be a natural and it works well. No telling. People make changes and thrive quite often. Antonio Gates, didn't play football in college and was a basketball player. Now he is an NFL Hall of Fame TE. Athletic QB's do it all the time. Julian Edelman was a QB in college and HS. He was a solid WR in the NFL. Not yell what Randall can do.
