QB Recruiting and DJ / Cade Difference

Oct 26, 2022, 8:42 PM

At the end of the day, Dabo and Company recruit the best available at every position that have shown the type of commitment to team and desire to go the distance to win, along with feeling at home in Tigertown. Whether it's Tajh, Deshaun, Kelly B, Trevor, DJ, Cade - all different skillsets - that highly skilled player with amazing work ethic and commitment, who has proven they can deliver at the highest level, is what they're looking for. Leadership and Chops. And more often than not, that's what they get.

Our offensive 'system' has more to do with dialing in a gameplan that best accentuates the skillsets we're fielding at the time, than it does fielding a team of skillsets that we've already gameplanned for. We certainly force some plays, but part of that is wall busting - getting some kids to do what they think they can't until they find out they can.

There is no 'wrong type' of QB that we recruit IMO. As these kids age and go through life, circumstances can change. Our coaches adapt. Each year brings something new. What doesn't change is the emphasis on bringing in the best, and working to bring out an even better version of that before their time is up here, whether that's through matriculation or choice. So far, the track record here is pretty solid across the board.

You are correct and what else doesn't change is Dabo knows what he is doing and he deserves our respect.

you sound like someone spitting out company lines over and over all day long. There IS and it doesn’t take a lot of thinking to see that the Clemson offense certainly has a “type” of QB it needs to be successful. Also, it requires at least one dominant WR. We don’t have either right now. The line is better and RB is a positive. WR is very average and the QB had to be benched last week. Everyone respects Dabo.

Thanks for your level headed approach. Wouldn't you think that our head coach being paid $10 million per year would be capable of making the correct decisions regarding personel changes.
C'mon people. Just enjoy the ride.

Texas A&M fans would disagree with that sentiment.

No. It's not the same. Jimbo does not= Dabo. In no make, maner or form.
