Update :

EssoClub you rock! I just called that 800 line and less than 5mins they had me set up for $60/month discount no strings attached. I’ve had DTV since 1996 so definitely qualified for a loyalty discount! That’s $720 savings over the next 12 months.

Called and got $50 off a month for the next year and 6 months free HBO. The guy on the phone saw I was calling from SC and asked if I was a Clemson fan. I said yes and he said they couldn’t do anything for me in that case. He then laughed and said he is a Bama fan and looking forward to another great game.
Thanks @EssoClub2 for the tip. Next time you’re in town for a game swing by lot 5 and I’ll be glad to reward your thoughtfulness in sharing this info with a nice cold beer.

Its the Real Deal! Got 40.00 off along with HBO & SHOW for 12 months. Customer since 1999. And I had a Problem with equipment not working properly and they scheduled me for the first week in January at my scheduling request. If you got DTV call them, I think they are actively countering Cord Cutters. Just a guess I have no direct knowledge though!

Very cool. I understand the guy above being mad enough to cancel them in the past. That is why I had a break in service. I only went back because of a great deal for "new customers only" , maybe this "loyalty" discount means they have realized the error of their ways in the past.

This is still going on , it is free money if you are a DirectV user. They are NOT going to call you and offer anything , but it is a pretty painless call to make. Just ask for your loyalty discount !

DirectTV ain't gonna work for us in Florida....rains everyday for 5 or 6 months out of the year. Just say no to rain fade.

I dropped spectrum tv for YouTube tv and haven’t looked back. All the espn channels including Espn news and espnu. Sec network and all the fox sports channels for $35 per month.
Also includes unlimited dvr. Still have spectrum internet as they are the only isp in my area but paying 100 per month for tv and internet sure beats paying almost 170

I was expecting a prank, but ended up saving $20 per month myself! They said I was eligible for $60 per month, but apparently my previous complaint phone calls used up $40 of that. So “technically” yeah I’m saving a total of $60 per month.

As a subscriber since 2003, I was able to get my bill down to $68/month. Thanks for the tip! Here is another... call every 6 months and ask for customer retention. Threaten to leave and you can usually get a bill reduction plus some free premium channels.

Sorry to bust everyone’s bubble, but apparently this is NOT legit. We tried calling the provided number first thing this morning and got some automated message in all Spanish. Decided to call the main Directv customer service number and when we asked for the loyalty discount, the rep said it is a scam making the rounds on social media. Without prompting she spouted off what the deal would supposedly do for customers.
So don’t be surprised if you next bill isn’t lowered as promised.

Just to make sure I called a legit DTV service rep, I logged onto my account tonight. Sure enough recent transactions showed the $60 credit had been applied yesterday evening.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I was a loyal DirecTV customer for over a decade. Got nothing but screwed and a lot of home shopping channels. Now I'm saving over $100/month because I dropped them and stream what I want a-la-carte, through Playstation or Hulu Live or Sling or Prime. . .or simply watching good ol' fashioned antenna TV.
Again, it's good you helped people save what they can, but I hope no one got roped into extending their commitment.

i do this once a year in august. I get free sunday ticket, free hbo, monthly discount, and equipment discount every yr. Just keep re-upping 1 yr deals. Make sure you call right b4 auto renew so its less hassle. Just put it on your calendar.

I don't have DirectTV but my sister does. I shared the info with her and she just reported back a $50/month savings with free HBO.
