Because my wife went to App but grew up loving Clemson, we had to wear the App gear yesterday while sitting in our Clemson seats surrounded by Tiger fans.
We've never been to DV wearing opposing team gear before. (I guess if Baylor (my alma mater) ever comes to DV, I'll don the green and gold and endure the beating.)
I predicted a Clemson win but a low-scoring game, and was so glad I was so wrong.
But even as the Tigers pounded the 'Neers into concrete dust, not a single Tiger fan gloated or rubbed it in.
One drunk redneck in Clemson gear snapped at me as we left ... but she seemed more redneck than Tiger, and her husband quickly shushed her.
Overall, a five-star experience.
Klubnik shut a lot of us up ... in thrilling fashion. Really excited to be back in DV in a couple of weeks in the Clemson gear.

was if Baylor rolled into town, and I asked her to wear some Baylor gear (I'm a Baylor grad) for one game instead of her Clemson gear, she'd do it for me.

And after the game, she stopped and thanked me for it, which is a big part of why I love her.

Glad you has a good time and all was well. I'm a Clemson grad, born and raised in Upstate, but taught at App for 6+ years. Saw a lot of people posting the App St fans were horrible. I love Boone and the Univ and I've seen typical young fan all over get a little aggressive but never knew App St fans were viewed so negatively. Just never been my experience but I've also never been the opposing fan.

Been around numerous App St fans. All were very nice. Typical fans. They want their team to win just as other folks want their team to win. Not bad fans. Maybe a few bad fans. But, we have that at Clemson.

Did see some Clemson frat guys get into an F-bomb tussle with some App frat boys -- which is to your point about the younguns getting all charged up and peeing on some legs.

I am glad she enjoyed! Not sure I could do anything but Clemson but do understand what you are saying! Very thoughtful on your part!
I made it a rule early on that if they were not neutral or Clemson I would have to let them walk. Marriage is already tough and did not want that unneeded drama added on! 😂

Stuff like that.
And she rails me about Baylor's putrid football program, for good reason. Baylor's the Wake of the Big XII in terms of football.
