Preseason rankings mean so little

But they are always fun to debate. It sure lends to some interesting perspectives. Fans of every team always want so badly to see their teams do well. If you were voting , where would u put Clemson going in? Granted this could all change after game 1 but if I were voting, I'd put us realistically at around number 7. How about you?

I'd put us outside the top 25. No pressure at all on us.
Only way to go is up!

I wouldn't attempt to put CLEMSON in the Top 10 - so maybe 12-17 would be my guess. If we beat UGA, then maybe #11, but I don't think UGA is all that good. In fact, I wouldn't put UGA in the Top 20. They are way too weak at QB.

Preseason rankings mean alot. That is how teams like USuCk end up with such a high ranking. They were over ranked to start and with that pansy schedule they had last year, they ended up being highly ranked in the end. That pansy schedule is gone now and they will be ranked too high again in preseason but that will come crashing down rahter quickly. Remember, preseason rankings, for some unknown reason, are based alot on what a team did last year.

About the same with 7, but could also live with 8 or 9.

They are the fat chicks of rankings

Fun, forgettable, embarrassing if you do better in the end but stills lets you brag about getting laid if you drop out.

Awfully hard to put Clemson after losing such great skill players. Need to sit back and see if new QB and runners can equate last year great players.

If we started the year ranked in top 10

had a close loss in Tally, and then won out, we may have found ourselves in the top four. As it stands, that's not likely. So it could be a very big deal that we are underrated this year to begin the season.
If we win in Tally (which we will) then the preseason rankings are meaningless.
