There was a lot of positives in the first half against Georgia. To me Cade looked more poised more confident and was putting the ball in the right place. He really only missed one throw. Wide receivers had some miscues this week though. I believe Dabo/Riley will try and air it out and rotate receivers to see who gives Clemson the best chance of winning going into ACC play. Don’t be surprised when Cade stats are 28 of 35 with 3 TDs. And 270-300yds passing.

Honest observation…Cade’s body language and expression is not that of a confident young man. He may be ‘more’ confident than last year…I don’t know…but he certainly did not appear confident to me.

He'll also run for at least one. This will be the start of an 11 game run back to the playoffs - Watch what Georgia does to the SEC - Most will look just like the Clemson game - no matter who they play. Many will look much worse. It will be hard for anyone to keep Georgia to 6 points in a half.

When's the last time Cade threw for 300+ against Furman or SC State... much less App State, which is a superior program to the SoCon patsies and has some Power-5 road scalps already in their bag?
I agree with the conclusion that many have come to here that the playcalling has been designed with an overall distrust of Cade's decision-making. To me that's the real problem. If gametime experience shows that you can't trust him then WHY NOT give another QB a shot? Why ride an untrustworthy horse into oblivion?
As much as I hate to admit it, georgia is a very good team - best team money can buy at this point. Beating them was an extreme longshot. Being competitive is another matter. Being able to mount up SOME SEMBLANCE of an offense is not an unreasonable expectation. If Cade can't do that, then bench him and give the other QBs a shot.
If we struggle offensively agaisnt APP State and Dabo refuses either to call the risky plays that can bring success or to pull Cade for another QB, then I have to question Dabo's leadership. This is on him.
