Prayers needed! I had surgery for a kidney stone stone today

and I'll be danged if the surgery is not causing me more pain and discomfort than the kidney stone was! Gon'na be a rough night I can tell! Pls say a prayer for Ole' George b4 bed tonight. Probably will be back at doc in morning- I don't think this stint is working properly!

They use a basket to retrieve or cut into you. I’ve had them in the past, the first night sucks but you’ll get through it. Just take your meds and try to sleep. The stint will be out soon enough.

I’ve had 4 kidney stone surgeries. The stint is unbearable, I’d almost rather keep the stone. Btw string type ?

You have to have total commitment when you pull that thing out. It’s abour 18” long. Interesting sensation but very little pain. Good luck

Prayers sent. I've had two bouts but luckily, I did not need surgery. Never hurt so bad in all my life so I can feel for you. Hang in there !!!

I have had that surgery before as well. It was terrible but so was having the kidney stone lodged in me.

One problem is the doctors don’t give you the right pain meds you needed dalauded for pain Your First couple of days. Wish you lots of luck and prayers too. But demand from your doctor the right pain meds.

I don't like to take pain medicine. I have dealt with stone for a little over 2 wks and took one hydrocodone. Tonight, I'll probably take one before bed so I can get some sleep, though. Thanks for suggestion. +1

Had surgery for a stone about four years ago after it took two trips to the ER for them to find it. The doctor told me prior to the procedure that it would feel like I still had it for a few days after and he didn't lie. Fortunately had some good pain meds. Good luck with your recovery.
