My dad (12 year multiple myeloma patient/survivor) has been in rough shape for the past month. Week & half ago, he ended up in hospital after not bouncing back right away from bout w/covid...labs showed his blood counts (red/white cells, hemoglobin, etc) had all crashed. Biopsy revealed onset of leukemia.
His return home was cut short w/ pneumonia jumping on him, putting him back in hospital Saturday. Right now, doctors are having trouble knocking it out so that he can regain strength to begin care for the leukemia. & the options laid out by his care team today aren't very optimistic about chances of success.
If you're the praying type and have an extra one in your back pocket next time you talk to the Good Lord, I ask that you'd lift my folks up - for strength, for healing if its meant to be, & for peace in that whatever decision they make, they made the best 1 for him. My dad has been a fighter for so long & my mom, just as equally, has been in it with him through thick & thin.
