Wonderful news. The foothills of the mountains aren’t as fortunate. My nephew in law is a dispatcher for Polk county ems and they’re getting calls from people trapped and have no one to send and no way to get to them. People are still dying. Prayers for all affected.

Amen, my family has been praying for them and my children have really learned how lucky we are just to have a roof over our heads.
I am scared to hear the true death toll when it’s all said and done. Seeing videos from Asheville and Chimney Rock are heartbreaking.

The whole street was cheering them on as they left. They gave us some loud honks on the way out. I used to be a contractor for Duke, those guys are working day and night. Beyond thankful!

Always a positive sign. I saw the Duke truck and thought they were just evaluating damage. They cut some limbs off the line with the pole saw then reconnected the downed neutral and boom. Good to go. Hope y’all get it on tonight.

Dem boys earning their money over the past few days and will for the next month or so. My nephew (lineman) is in the upstate. Some of them are sleeping in their trucks and supply trailers on site. Tuff work but very rewarding according to him. They deserve our thanks.

So happy for you. Not so good in Pomaria sc. Exhausted from the generator shuffle. Prayers for all those who have suffered permanent loss. Mine is just a mess and inconvenience.
