Played RB in high school. Opinions?

He would need to improve his ball security a great deal

at the very least. I like him in the Artavis Scott role. He has great speed and playmaking ability so i think it makes more sense to let him take the screens and end arounds.

For some reason I think Powell is gonna come in and push and eventually take over that slot.

When did Rencher make the team? I understand he is a walk-on, but I don't see him on the complete team roster. I'm not as concerned as others about our depth at RB though. We have 3 current RB's that have great potential, Feaster, Fuller, and Choice, that have decent experience as well. We run a lot of sweeps with WR's, McLoud and I think Rodgers will fit that role. Screens to Cain and Powell are all extensions of our run game. Not to mention our QB's all get carries as well, Bryant has killer speed for a QB, Cooper is a great dual-threat. People are sleeping on Hunter Johnson just bc he is such a good passer but he was laser timed at 4.73 40, Watson was timed at 4.89 just for comparison. Also, I have confidence that the coaches are going to still get another RB for the 2017 class. Also I don't know much about him, but my sons do snapchat and twitter. They say a kid named Will Brown from Boiling Springs has committed to us. I'm guessing he is a preferred walk-on though. Anyone else know anything about him?

he was on the roster I looked at -- he RS this year so maybe

what you looked at didn't include RS's.

I would love to see Rencher get some carries. That is a good kid.

Terry Allen thinks he'll play at some point too

Sure Ray Ray has potential. I have wondered if the offense the Tigers run hurts their ability to attach the elite running backs. Certainly Gallman, Ellington and others turned out to be great backs but from a recruiting standpoint this may be an issue.

O'Daniel could take some carries in a jam!

He would run over people!

Was thinking the same thing because I remembered he plated RB in HS, but he's not as big as I thought he was. According to clemsontigers.com he's 6'1" 215. Well, that's bigger than Rencher who's only 5'8" 190, but compared to other RBs O'D is fairly average sized. Still, I'd love see him have a shot at it.
