The vast majority of players that end up in the portal and find a new home go to that new school and COMPETE for a starting job. You're making statements that are just flat out false.

Nick Saban disagrees with you. He said that you can’t build depth through the portal, those guys want to start. It was on College Gameday last week. I realize a lot here no longer watch it.

I think he really needs to find at least a DE and LB. We are super thin here and I don't see where championship 2nd string players are on the roster or they would have been playing even if they had planned to RS. Parks already said he is coming back so Tate is likely only OL we lose unless we get a transfer. If someone transfers out that is on the 2deep then we better take OL transfer also.

Meaningful portal guys shy away due to Dabo's attitude toward the portal and up front NIL.
They have 130 other FBS schools to target that don't have that attitude.

There are some TNetters that lose their minds every time this is mentioned.
That makes it no less factual.
I've been called all kinds of names, told that I was mentally unstable, and have a few TNetters that stalk my profile and TD virtually every one if my posts, regardless if the topic.
Now that there are many TNetters openly discussing the issue, the Dabo cult is having a more difficult keeping up.
And...the TDs and hate don't bother me at all, except the people that do it are an embarrassment to Clemson.
I'm a Clemson alum. I want Clemson to win every game.
Best is the standard...except to the sunshine pumpers and some obvious roster and performance issues.

It is clear when the "rocks on the ground" are sending you a message, you need to pay attention. When GOD is trying to tell you something, He uses every voice including nature to convey some Wisdom to you.
He has been told by every sound of nature to use the transfer portal. He needs to listen to those voices. If Clemson doesn't make the playoffs this, and I mean THIS year, He needs to adjust to the current climate of College Football and start surveying the guys that are looking to transfer. Because HE was a walk-on, he feels this need to continue this philosophy. Times change, people change and you must adapt. Things go out of style after awhile. There was an article I read of a man of a 102 years old that was asked, "why have you lived so long?" His answer: "learned to adapt to change. You can't stay stuck in your way of thinking over the years. You have to adjust". Wisdom personafied. You cannot exist
postively in society by having stubborn philosophies decades ago. There are 2 factors that change things in the world: Prayer and Time. Dabo should know this being a man of GOD. ADJUST.

Depends on what happens against SC. If CU beats SC nothing of substance will change. If CU loses a close one to SC, still nothing much will change. But if SC beats CU badly, that will probably ratchet up the pre$$ure on Dabo to make significant changes.
