joined their local militias to fight the tyrannical government? According to all the posts in the last few days, the dems not only rigged an election, but jailed those that lawfully protested (or at least were set up). I've seen that the government (with the judges help) illegaly withheld evidence, and are even holding some without charges. If that's not treading on you, I don't know what is. So if you can't vote, and you can't protest, and the courts are rigged against you, what else can you do?

I’d like to rebuild a country who’s number 1 priority is looking out for American citizens first. A government who who in popular belief thinks it untouchable by the every day citizens. A government who will lock down borders to control illegal immigrant flow. A government who will actually govern the prices of necessary prescription. A government that DOES not waste time on stupid pandering laws that only affects less than one percent of population.
I can think of a million more , but the main thing I would change is to do away with stupid #### parties that has done nothing but created division since it first became a thing.

2. Do you genuinely believe that people can't understand the concept of Q Anon unless they actually believe in all of the nonsense contained therein? I've listened to the Qanon Anonymous podcast for the past 3+ years (as has CharlestonTiger15), watched the documentaries, and have been generally fascinated at how the entire movement came to be. I know a MOUNTAIN of background on Q Anon, because I find it nothing short of fascinating.
3. I'd venture to say I understand more about terms like systemic racism and systemic inequality than you do, since you don't even think they actually exist. And do you genuinely believe that anything I post in the Politics forum of a Clemson sports message board has a damn thing to do with "popularity"? Because we have massively different definitions of "popular" if so.
4. A simple "yes, I'm part of the Q Anon community" would have sufficed.

Our son is officially truant per the school. See they tell you not to bring your kids to school because they have a fever. So son was kept home 3 days with a fever. All the kids were sick at the time and the doctor couldn't see hum for 2 days. So we didn't hake him. Wife wrote letter to the school upon his return. Evidently you have to take your kid to the doctor to get an excuse because days missed with a fever are still "illegal" unless there's a doctor's excuse. Son missed 2 legit days "illegally" at Disney World. So that's 5 days. We're now reported and have to meet with some counselor.
Words can not describe her level of pissed. I think she may finally be coming around to private school.

back. Doctor's excuses erases an absence. ALL OTHERS COUNT AS ILLEGAL, even if the parent writes a note and it was a medical reason, like fever. The school says don't send your kids to school with fever. BUT, unless you see a doc and get a note, the PARENT is blamed for following the school's own f###in policy, even if they write the excuse, and the absence is "illegal". I imagine some people without insurance, this is really screwing them over. Maybe this is why the pediatrician couldn't see our son for TWO DAYS, due to all the people running to him for excuses?
Furthermore, per SC state law, even though you get 10 days before you have problems matriculating, once your kid has 5 "illegal" absences, the child is classified as "truant". That then starts the ball rolling on a bunch of crap, basically directed at the parents.
We provided parent notes for ALL 5 absences. 3 of which were due to him having fever.
Wife wrote back and said we will just send him to school with fever then, as there is no penalty for breaking that rule. She's ticked.

Attendance is an essential component to a student’s academic success. Often, the number of days that a student is absent accumulates without the parents/guardian realizing how many total days have been missed.
This email is to inform you that your child has accumulated 5 unexcused full day absences. A student will be considered truant if he or she accumulates 3 consecutive UNEXCUSED absences or a total of 5 UNEXCUSED absences. We will schedule a Truancy/Attendance Intervention Plan meeting for your student in the near future if medical excuse(s) are not received upon additional absence(s).
If you have a Parent Note or a Medical Note please send those to school with your student and drop them off in the front office or fax to the main office at 803-821-0603. A Medical Note is an excused absence; however, a Parent Note is considered unexcused but it allows the student to make up any missed work. It is always best to provide at least a handwritten Parent Note when your student is absent.

Cause I was a student in SC public schools after 1962 and know that on numerous occasions I missed more than 5 days in a single school year without a Doctors note and nothing happened to me or my parents. Mom just sent a note or called the school/teacher while I was sick and that was it - the absence was "excused". Of course back then we didn't have 5 administrators for every teacher to make everything a bureaucratic process where there are no allowances for parental common sense...

SECTION 59-65-90. Rules and regulations.
The State Board of Education shall establish regulations defining lawful and unlawful absences beyond those specifically named in this article and additional regulations as are necessary for the orderly enrollment of pupils so as to provide for uniform dates of entrance. These regulations shall require: (1) that school officials shall immediately intervene to encourage the student's future attendance when the student has three consecutive unlawful absences or a total of five unlawful absences and (2) that the district board of trustees or its designee shall promptly approve or disapprove any student absence in excess of ten days. As used in this section, "intervene" means to identify the reasons for the child's continued absence and to develop a plan in conjunction with the student and his parent or guardian to improve his future attendance.
Provided, However, That nothing within this section shall interfere with the Board's authority to at any time refer a child to a truancy prevention program or to the court pursuant to Section 59-65-50.

So if our son is home with a fever and we write a note saying he has a fever, then they don't believe us, because we're parents. Now if a DOCTOR writes a note, saying the child has a fever, well, that's ok because he's a doctor. This is what has changed, and ticks off the wife.
I know I missed more than 5 days and my parents never got a letter or notice form the school that I was truant, and if I missed a 6th day they would do all this crap. My wife also missed more than 5 days as well without doctors notes. They accepted a note from a parent. It's like the freaking gas stations. I grew up pumping gas, then going inside and paying. You can't do that anywhere now.
So you're lumped in with the lowest common denominator when you attend public schools, pump gas, or anything else today. That's the main issue. Our middle son missed 5 days (with covid and a dr excuse). We asked his teacher to email us stuff he could work on to keep up. She never did. Said he could just make up the missed work in class. She now sends an email saying he's fallen behind in math. Well, no ####. We sent her the email where we asked her for some work he could do at home so he WOULD NOT FALL BEHIND and her prior reply. No additional communication from her.
Anyway, it's a whole bunch of crap. I can go on and on with the grading system they use, which is BS. We had a meeting with parents and the principal once on this new grading system. The parents were confused, as it's well, confusing. A NEUROSURGEON dad in the room I knew stood up and said he didn't understand it. Principal then told him that's why they're educators, because they know how to do this and parents are idiots. His kid is now in private school btw and she has gracefully "retired". Wife can rattle off a list of stuff for 20 minutes.

trained teaching professionals at the school, are highly trained to implement this grading system. She understands that it's a hard concept for the parents to grasp, but that's because they're not highly-trained educators. Think that's almost word for word. The neurosurgeon was not impressed, nor was anyone else. She left the next year....retired they say. Whatever. And they don't use that grading system anymore.
