Since 2020 (year of transfer and NIL). We have - missed on EVERY elite QB we have gone after - missed on just about every RB (jury out on #9)) - our recruits get raided between now and Dec with folks pouring money into them (case in point today with Dre) - SEC. SEC. SEC. All these elite recruits hear day in and day out on every sports channel - our overall talent is good enough to keep you in the game but every one is going to require flawless execution. You turn the ball over twice and miss a FG- pretty much does you in

Forgot 1 more. Talent is good (not elite) but not the 2 deep. Take 4 starters out with injuries and that’s painful.

one. We have more talent than most of these teams we are struggling against. We've been hamstrung by poor coaching.

“Coaching” is always the crutch that everyone pins this on while ignoring the other things. Until someone steps up with oil money, Texas money, OSU money, or SEC money, we will not close the gap with any coach. Even if we get the money, the elite recruits rather play where ESPN tells them to play.

That is true against UGa, LSU, but that argument is not why we cant beat GaTech, Louisville , etc. We aren’t at a disadvantage against most ACC teams in terms of NIL. We were dead last in ACC in portal class and that is on Dabo for being too proud and dumb to is use the portal when it is obvious we needed major help at LB, defensive back, running back , heck we needed help everywhere.

I have heard that there is a coach at Clemson that has a VERY high salary. Does he spend any of his money paying for QBs and RBs. (The cost-of-living in Clemson is purty low, I think. Where does his money go?)

Our talent is good not great. Many of them are fall back options. I'm not surprised this program is declining. We are soft on both sides of the ball and lack speed at the skill positions. We have no quarterback.

We just got beat by a team with a bunch of *2 and *3 players.
Coaching is a much bigger problem for us. We're soft, but you can't say we got out-talented.

And with a QB that’s not elite but everyone of you would take their qb over ours.

King is a gamer. He’s not some NFL elite prospect, but he’s got that moxy.
He’s got a killer instinct and wants to win. We haven’t had that in years at QB. Arguably since Watson. TLaw was just flat more gifted than everyone he matched up against outside of Burrow.

Star ranking isn't the problem recruiting and evaluating talent is. Cade was rated a 5 star qb but he is not. We need to blow it up and start over.

Always unprepared, no imagination offensively or defensively. Zero player development. Its not a talent issue, we struggled against a troy team that got absolutely melted by freaking memphis today. The coaching is abhorrent. Period. Its over until that changes from the top down. If thats not evident to you after half a decade of this horse #### it never will be.
