Covid Year for PJ Hall

Can we get our big man a Covid-Season for 2024/2025 ? We have a really nice looking roster next season (not counting grads and transfers). I just saw where a CFB player is getting a 7th year of eligibility. So by that new standard I feel like PJ is a shoe in for the C19 addition.

Sky is the limit . The bar is flexible , depending on who is assessing the standard for Coach B.

I think we could get it for him but I suspect he is headed for proball. This was his one more year and we arent making very good use of it so far

PJ Hall would have absolutely nothing to gain by coming back for another year.

His game is about as polished as it is ever going to get. Thirty years ago, I would have said he was a shoo-in to make it in the NBA. But, the era of the "Big Man" and inside game is pretty much extinct now. Everything is bombs away from trey. He better work on that if he wants to make it.

The highest that I’ve seen him selected in a mock draft is middle of the second round.

Definitely a much better outlook for NIL funding than pro for next season if that's the case.

Pro Ball... as in NBA? I do not see it.
Maybe D-league, certainly overseas.
To make developmental league, he needs to get 3Pt % to mid 30s at least.
He does not come across as quickly athletic enough off the floor to do much in NBA. Maybe turn into a rebounder who can score mid range and step out occasionally for an open 3Point. He will need to improve passing and ball handling.
But I will happily be surprised if he can make it. Weirdly enough, I would see ian schieffelin getting a look by D-League because he shows a knack for getting rebounds, loose balls, etc. Makes hustle plays. Can make good entry passes.
He has developed into a great role player, which NBA needs a lot of those.

Even in Europe they expect big men to be able to hit 3s.
Not saying he won't play somewhere but I don't see him as a true center at his weight.

Do you even watch the games?? He is currently shooting 31.1% from 3 now and that's after a down month of January - plus he is over 50% from the field. He can shoot the 3 ball but in getting roughed up by the defense every game - they don't play defense in the NBA! He has been projected as a mid to late first rounder and the number 2 power forward.
I'd love for him to stick around another year at Clemson, but he has nothing else to prove. I say go make them $$$$'s!

He’s one of the best players in the ACC and we would be in the NCAA Tournament if it started today.

plus a conference tournament. So, in other words, all of the metrics are meaningless internet fodder and completely irrelevant.

We've had WAY better players not make it in the league. He needs to work on his 3 point shooting. He likes to shoot the 3 a lot because he knows its important for the NBA but he's terrible at it. lol

KJ McDaniel for one. - KJ could have used another year.
Trevor Booker made the NBA and he was way more dominant in ACC than PJ is or has been. And Booker never really shined as a major player. But he is/was a solid NBA player and made a career in the NBA. 532 games played Career Avgs 20.4 min per game 6.9 pts per game 51.5 FG% 30.5 3PT% 5.5 Rebounds per game 1.1 Assists per game 0.7 Steals per game

Pj has another year of eligibility. We wouldnt have to "get it for him"
I would love for him to come back! Let's get him locked ip with some nil money!

Per On3 his has the biggest NIL deal of any athlete at Clemson. But we don’t support basketball.

That would be amazing. Maybe some NIL money would get him to consider. That would be enormous.
