Be sure to get to the stadium early and walk through the Hall of Fame in the lower level.
Pittsburgh fans are very fickle, love their Steelers but not as crazy about the Panthers. They are good people and you will love your trip. Just remember when the say "yunz" it is like "yall".
Have fun and GO TIGERS.

Forgot one thing...Pitt has some really good eats inside the stadium, not like Clemson...plus if you are sitting in the third level, they serve beer and wine.

Thanks for the info. Will definitely try to check out a few.
We are staying at the Hyatt Regency at the Airport. Was planning on taking the bus from the airport on Friday afternoon to the Mon Incline. Looks like we may have to walk a 1/2 mile or so from the bus stop to the incline. Thought about eating lunch at top of incline area which is Mt. Washington I believe? Any suggestions would be appreciated as well as your opinion on riding the bus safety.
Also thinking about taking the Clipper boat tour of the three river area that evening. Probably will eat dinner at Station Square that night.
Probably will just Uber from Station Square after dinner and boat tour since it will be after 9 pm and not sure about the bus stop safety.
Thinking about taking the bus from the airport to downtown Pittsburgh on Saturday for the game. Looks like a nice walk across the pedestrian bridge to Heinz Field.
Based on game time will probably Uber back to the airport after the game.
Rental cars right now are so expensive.

Have never taken the bus from the airport. What type of food are you interested in having? The Gandy Dancer at the Gtand Concourse is a great place to eat, then take the incline. There are some great restaurants on Mt. Washington, most require a reservation. I will look at your choices on Mt. Washington. The Gateway Clipper river tour is nice, done it a few times. Great way of going to the game also.

The Grand Concourse is at Station Square, right?
We are pretty simple eaters......wife likes, steak, burgers, Mexican food. I prefer seafood but will eat steak as well. Also we both love Italian food.
Thanks for your suggestions!

On Mt. Washington try La Tovola, or since you are near the airport Bravo's in Robinson Twp. Both require reservations. Both Italian Be sure to get some pics from the Mt Washington look out at night.

Why would you stay at the airport? I paid $88 a night for the Cambria Hotel Pittsburgh - Downtown on Priceline.
Thanks for the info. Will definitely try to check out a few.

Our flight out Sunday morning is at 5:45 am. I didn't want to worry about depending on Uber, Lyft, taxi, etc. at that time of the morning. This way, we can wake up and walk to the terminal.
If someone is familiar with the bus system in Pittsburgh would like to hear their opinion. It appears to be only $2.75 a ride, can take it to downtown Pittsburgh on game day and walk over to Heinz Field from there. Probably will Uber back to airport hotel after the game since it will probably be after dark.

There are a ton of bars and pubs within walking distance of the stadium. Not sure of just breweries.

They brew some stuff on site. Pumking and Warlock will be on tap, but brewed in NY. Other local breweries a few blocks away.

Correct, when I lived in Pittsburgh there was only one brewery on the North Shore , Penn Brewery.
Be sure if you can to "strut the strip" it I'd filled with all types of shops filled with fresh fish sandwiches, Italian and Asian shops where you can buy things to eat and the Church Brewery.
