We all know first hand of what its like when Ohio State truly wants revenge on a team. But what Oregon went through was a combination of things...but that first round bye with all that waiting is a different animal when you have to face a 20 million dollar team when you come off that long wait.

No excuses for Oregon with the Nike deep pockets. The time off seems to have had an affect.

Well the 3 bye teams that have played so far have lost. Let's see what Georgia does, but it does seem relevant.

In the baseball playoffs teams with byes struggled too. The layoff did seem to hurt the Ducks,
